The "Steady Ed Safari" at Ausable Chasm, September 8th, 2012, sponsored by DGA, will include18 holes at the Ausable Chasm Campground DGC and 18 extreme safari holes inside, over and through the Ausable Chasm natural attraction, a 2 mile long, 150 ft deep sandstone canyon. Safari holes will feature drives off of 100+ foot cliffs, approach shots over whitewater rapids and putts inside of a cave and next to a waterfall. The players pack will include all 4 "Steady" Ed Signature Discs (blowfly, blowfly2, blunt gumbputt and powerdrive gumbputt) as well as a tournament mini, an l.e.d. beacon and other goodies. Players can use any discs they want on the regular course but may only use the Steady Ed Signature Discs for the safari holes. These discs are well known to not only float, but also to fold, flop and sit when they hit trees and rocks (instead of bouncing, skipping and rolling like most golf discs) which make them the perfect discs for the extreme rocky and mountainous terrain of the Ausable Chasm. Participants will also receive a 2 day pass to Ausable Chasm and discounted camping. Glow round, live music and bonfire Saturday night at the campground DGC. The tournament is rain or shine and will pause for thunderstorms, but will be rescheduled to Sunday September 9th, 2012 if severe weather is forecasted for the majority of the day or if the Chasm is flooded from heavy rain (the river is “flashy” and generally only stays flooded for one day at a time).
