About this tournament
This event will be 2 rounds of shotgun start at Roy G Guerrero DGC. The player cap is 72 for this event. Both rounds will be from the short box. All players will play from the short boxes for both rounds.
Please be sure to have to most accurate email for me when you come to check-in for all Amateur players. Shannon from DIscNation will be sending vouchers for both players pack ($15 value) and any winnings you receive as well. It is imperative to update me with this information to avoid any delays.
Pro players will receive payout via PayPal. Please provide me with email that corresponds to that account if you haven’t already done so with sign-up.
***I am going out to the course to mow today and based on the constant moving around of tents and new people moving into the park almost daily, I believe the safest way to play this event will be to play Hole 1-16 only. This will mean that after holing out of 16 you will take the trail back to hole 1 to finish the course rather than playing 17/18. Casually, I think its fine but I really don’t want to have an incident during the event in which the police need to be called. Unfortunately, I have noticed increased drug activity and don’t want anyone to be subjected to violence during this event. If I feel that after today it can be avoided 100%, then I will update everyone.
AS OF TODAY WE WILL ONLY BE PLAYING HOLES 1-16 FOR THIS EVENT!!!
We will follow all PDGA rules during this event. The only OB on the course is the fence and beyond on Hole 15. No 2 meter rule. Keep in mind if you are searching for a disc and all players on the card are looking that someone starts a timer for 3 minutes. Any discrepancies during the round always take a provisional and get with me after the round BEFORE you submit the scores and we will work it out. I think it would be wise to have a backup card(Udisc/paper) just in case something happens
It will be warm outside so be sure to hydrate well before this event and bring adequate water.
