I’m wondering if I participate in the recreational division do I receive a ranking? I’m still getting into disc golfing but would like to play in more competitive tournaments.

if you are a PDGA member, you will get a rating

Exactly as Mack commented. All players in all divisions that are PDGA members get a round rating for each round played. If you are not a PDGA member you do not get a rating. I do not see you on the PDGA website. So if you would like to get that rating you can join here: https://www.pdga.com/membership/select

Right now the event is full with a waitlist and I don't see you in the registered players. I doubt that if you register now you would get in this event.

Tournament expansion will be for discussion but nothing is guaranteed. Player experience should not be sacrificed for more players.
