Spartan Community Team Invitational - non college
About this tournament
Trinity Western University Spartan Disc Golf Program is hosting a collegiate disc golf weekend on February 25/26, 2023. Events include a College Team Disc Golf National Championship Qualifier and College Student singles play. A new event is now being added to provide a fun opportunity for disc golf community members to experience a team disc golf event and one that follows the College Disc Golf format. It is highly unlikely this format has ever been played on a Canadian course.
It is an unsanctioned event. Cost is $30.00 per player and there is a $10 discount per player available for current RK members. Use code: RKMember2023
Teams consist of four players
Round 1: Singles Play
Scores for each player is averaged to net a single score
Round 2: Team Play
Players 1/2 play together and players 3/4 play together
Players 1/2 tee off on all odd numbered holes, Players 3/4 all even numbered holes
After tee off, the team selects the best lie and the other pair throws the next shot
A third shot, if required, is taken from the best lie and the pair that teed off throws
This continues until the hole is completed and a score for the hole is finalized
The two scores are combined to give a a total for the event
It is hoped that teams will be formed based on things in common other than disc golf such as a group of retirees, a family, work colleagues, etc. and can provide an opportunity to play with people you would never otherwise get to play with in an event.
Blue teepads will be in play for all teams for both rounds
Additional capacity may be added at a later date
IMPORTANT REGISTTRATION INFORMATION: One person will register all members of each team and will need the email address for each player.
Registration for this limited opportunity goes live Thursday evening at 8:00 pm
