Space Race at Bear Cave
Added cash $100
Added merchandise $200
About this tournament
1 round of 19 holes of bear cave, shortened (using a combination of existing and temp baskets). Holes will be 140-250ft in length. We will have lighted baskets and tee pads. There will be tons of signage and a udisc layout for this specific event so you can follow it and get the hole lengths etc..
The overall tournament will be scored on Udisc as stroke play. You will receive 2 glow discs as part of the player's pack: a total eclipse Axiom Paradox (5 | 4 | -4 | 0) and a total eclipse Axiom Envy (3 | 3 | 0 | 2). You also have the option to purchase a limited edition Station Street Discs Streamline Lift (9 | 5 | -2 | 1.5 -- see event photos) that can also be used to play in this tournament. You'll also be able to select one additional disc of your choice from your own bag, for a total of 4 maximum discs that can be used in this tournament.
***late registrants in the "late entry 1 disc" category will be entered into the same prize pool but due to the special MVP players packs being sold out will only be allowed to use one disc from their own bag. They will also receive a $20 voucher for a players's pack disc from our on site inventory. If you don't have a glow disc but want to play we suggest picking up a glow disc with your $20 voucher*
The winner of the Mixed and Womens stroke play division will each receive a $50 gift card to Station Street Discs, along with a Special Halloween Edition Axiom Eclipse Hex Lizottle. The Junior champion will receive a $25 gift card to Station Street Discs.
Additionally, you can pay an extra $5 to enter the Ace Race portion of the event. There will be one overall division for everyone, scored like a traditional ace race with an Ace being worth 15 points, chains being worth 10 points, and a metal hit worth 5 points. This will be run concurrently with the stroke play, just keep track of your aces and metal hits.
Station Street Discs is giving the first $100 to the Ace Race pool, but overall prize amounts will be determined by how many people enter. 1st place will receive 50% of the ace race cash, 2nd place will receive 30% of the ace race cash, and 3rd place will receive 20% of the ace race cash.
NEW: Late-entry 1 Disc particpants: Entering the "Late Entry 1 Disc" field means you can still play in the event and compete for prizes, but you are limited to playing with one disc (or two, if you have one of our Special Edition Streamline Lifts). As part of the entry fee, you'll be able to choose one disc of your choice up to $20 value from our inventory. You can choose to play that one disc in the tournament, or throw one you already own.
Hang out after the tournament for other fun - we'll have a glow Paradox long drive competition and a ring of fire with the same categories as the main event and great disc prizes. S'mores, Hot Chocolate, a fire, and other small games will follow the event. Station Street Discs will have much of their store inventory on site. Brands include: Prodigy, MVP/Streamline/Axiom, Dynamic/Westside/Latitude64, Kastaplast, Mint, Lone Star, Discraft, Infinite, Thought Space, Clash, Divergent.
What about the weather? Rain or other unseasonably cold temps and we'll move the event to November 10th as a backup date.
