About this tournament
2 rounds of play
This is an unsanctioned tournament. We’ll use Udisc and paper cards for scoring.
The 21st annual Southside Smackdown will be held on April 12, 2025. We will use Municipal (Langan) Park and The Admiral. Two rounds of 20 holes. Everybody will tee off at 9:00 sharp, with an hour plus to eat and get to the next course. Lunch will be served at The Admiral.
The caps are not set in stone. They may be finagled some depending on how registration goes.
All ams will play The Admiral first round and Municipal second round
All pros play Municipal first round and The Admiral second round
All am women divisions will play the red tees at both courses.
All other am divisions play regular tees at Municipal and white tees at The Admiral.
After talks with the rest of our members and others, we’ve decided that the pros will play the white tees at The Admiral and regular tees at Municipal.
Food is provided for free throughout the day. We’ll have doughnuts and fruit in the morning. A full buffet style lunch will many options and more fresh food available after the second round. A full menu to be posted as we get closer. Snack packs (granola bars, fruit snacks, trail mix, etc.) are there to grab to hold you off during your play.
Player packs for all amateur divisions. Tournament shirt, premium disc of your choice, Smackdown towel, and a Rob’s Dry Sac. That will only count for half of your entry fee (the rest goes into your division’s payout).
Pros will get a tournament shirt and a bunch of added money.
Extras include: free raffle ticket for prizes throughout the day, CTP’s, ring of fires, multiple 150 foot ring of fire style throws for nice prizes (each worth $80 plus), skittles, etc
I say it every year, but sponsors are the lifeblood of the Smackdown. Please consider being a sponsor this year. We have several levels to choose from.
$25 tee sign
$50 small spot on the shirt wrote out and a tee sign
$100 larger spot with logo and tee sign
$200 even bigger spot (if we can make it fit, if not I’ll put you on next year’s for free) and a tee sign
All shirt sponsors get a disc and shirt
