This is an opportunity for all to come out and give Disc Golf a try. It is not a competition, but a gentle, fun introduction to the sport. If the currently offered tee times fill up, we will add more tee times.
You may use any discs you like for the event! For those who do not have discs, you may chose from a variety of discs during registration and they will be there waiting for you on 12/2/23. Or you may use the discs we will have available to borrow that day.
Sign up as an individual or with as many as will be in your party for the tee time, and whether you wish to play 9 or 18 holes. The 9-hole version will all be in the fields; the 18-hole version will add the back 9 holes in the woods, so please dress appropriately.
Our recommendation for groups of brand-new players will be to play the best-lie option as a scramble, meaning either doubles or triples. More experienced players may play doubles, or singles as they wish. New players will be given complete instruction before we send you out. We will have volunteers there to teach you before you start the course.
There is an optional ace pot for those so inclined. The total from the day will be divided between all aces hit.
This event is a collaboration between Somers Recreation & Leisure Services, Disc Golf Zen and The 19th Basket Disc Golf Shop in Somers.
