So I updated the event, so one of the things with the Fairbanks Disc Golf Scene is that people tend to wait till day of the event to sign up, hence, I have limited divisions. This year enough MA50 signed up early for me to make the division.

Typically with moose avoid one’s with calves, as they tend aggressive… especially in June right after they give birth. Give them space they won’t be an issue and never get in between them.

Bears, if you are are loud enough and don’t surprise them you should be ok. Some people do carry bear spray. For bears brown lay down play dead, and black fight back if they are attacking you. I have never had an issue with bears, but I have seen them. Fairbanks I have only seen moose.

Mosquitos, north of the alaska range they are thick… only 100 % deet or full body coverage recommended especially right after rain. South of the range on the Kenai and Matsu Valley, I don’t think they are bad being from Fairbanks… you can’t trust my judgement. Also do NOT get deet on your discs, or face as it will eat through plastic.

Don’t let the mosquitoes scare you, Alaska is amazing!!
