Hi everyone, we are less than 2 weeks from the event! Figured it is a good time for an update.

I will be going to the course this week. I'll be taking videos on the holes and pictures. The plan is to post the pictures with the hazard lines drawn in and all so players will have a better idea of the course design. The videos will be on our youtube page (will email the link) so you can watch each hole. These should be out by Tuesday.

I will be going to the course this week. I'll be taking videos on the holes and pictures. The plan is to post the pictures with the hazard lines drawn in and all so players will have a better idea of the course design. The caddy book will be out by Tuesday. I will do a virtual players meeting on Wednesday and will email all the players the link and post it here. That gives you time to ask questions.

Tee times will be posted by Thursday, July 11. The earliest tee time will be 8:30 if we need to start that early. Tee times will be every 15 minutes. We will be going by divisions, with the MA4 starting first and the MPO being the last tee times.

The course will be set up for practice on Friday. Nate and I will be up there setting up some last minute stuff. Amateur players can get their player pack items from us on Friday if you are up there.

I have had some players inquire about the course layout. While the final design is still in progress, I can give you a quick overview of what I have planned. To start, remember that we will be doing tee times and hole 1 for the tournament will be the normal course hole 10. I will have tournament tee signs out to make sure you are playing the correct hole and bags will be over the baskets that are not in play. Normal holes 1-6 will not be in play for the event since we cannot shut down the course ... more

To start, remember that we will be doing tee times and hole 1 for the tournament will be the normal course hole 10. I will have tournament tee signs out to make sure you are playing the correct hole and bags will be over the baskets that are not in play. Normal holes 1-6 will not be in play for the event since we cannot shut down the course completely and will be available for walk ons and for players to warm up.

Hole 1: Normal course 10 from the patio. Expect lines to be down to create a hazard area, like the meltdown but changed up slightly.

Hole 2: Normal course 11 to normal basket. Mandos will be in play.

Hole 3: Normal 12 to the far position or a temp (expect it to be on the hill). Mando left will be in play on the trees on the right.

Hole 4: Normal 13 to normal basket. Expect lines to be down that will play as an island with hazard rules.

Hole 5: Normal hole 14 to the basket. It's hard enough.

Hole 6: Normal 15: Would like to do a temp to a new spot on the right, but final basket spot will be determined soon.

Hole 7: Normal 16 to basket 17: Par 4. Have fun.

Hole 8: Normal 18.

Hole 9: Normal 19.

Hole 10: Normal 20 to basket of 21. Basically throw two shots up hill. Par 4 (for now..)

Hole 11: Normal 22 to a temp basket that will be farther down to the right. Want to keep people away for the fairway of 23 and will be fun to have something longer, expect around 300-325.

Hole 12: Normal 23 with the mando. Always fun.

Hole 13: Normal 24. May add some stuff to it. Position tbd.

Hole 14: Normal 25: Always fun.

Hole 15: Normal 26. Simple uphill throw.

Hole 16: Normal 27. Its fun enough. No need for me to mess with it.

Hole 17: Normal hole 7, long position.

Hole 18: Normal teepad 8 up to a temp basket in the trees on fairway 8. Par 4. Mando right on the marked tree so no big forehands out over 7's fariway.

If you haven't registered yet for an amateur division but are planning to, please do so this week so I can guarantee that you will get the tournament edition items for the event. If you register after this week, you will still receive the players pack items, but they may not be the ones with the tournament logo. So please get registered asap! However, his bosses aren't quite set yet on allowing a full closure in the middle of the summer months. With that, we came up with a plan. Hole 1-6 will not be used for the tournament. They will remain open for the public to use and for tournament players to warm up on. We will be using holes 10-27 and 7-9 to create our 18 hole layout. With that, if we are able to show that we have the numbers of players registering to play, the bosses will allow the course to be closed for us for the next one. I am still working on the final course layout (adding mandos, OB/hazard lines, fun stuff), but I can tell you that the shorter holes will have some mods to them and there will be several par 4s.

Mike is having a meeting tomorrow with the bosses about allowing the course to be fully closed for us or if we can have priority use over the holes we need while leaving some open for walk on play (like we do with the Mountain Meltdown). If we are leaving some holes open, that isn't stopping use from doing a full 18 layout with some modifications done to some of the holes and combining a few to make some par 4s.

I will keep everyone updated. Working on the Meltdown right now then going full into the Elevation Open and looking to put on another fun mountain event.

Are these dates official and is this event taking over for the sky high showdown? Only asking because my son might be at junior worlds this weekend.
