About this tournament
Quick turnaround, cheap... CHEAP... PDGA Sanctioned (C-Tier) event
No Frills, Flex Start, 'let's play disc golf' event.
We're going to be testing out an alternate, 27 hole Sedro layout designed to steer your throws away from 'disc eating hazards' and make the course more accessible to all skill levels and more easily navigable regardless of ground water. Every hole is Par 3 and the expectation is that play should flow very smoothly and quickly through the entire course.
Pick a Tee Time, Sign up a player to reserve that tee time, or just show up, pay, - form, join, or bring a group - and play.
Signage and documentation will help you navigate the course - and unless you've done more exploring than the vast majority of disc golfers, you are sure to see some pretty exciting and 'new to you' parts of the gorgeous property.

EVENT CONCEPTS, RULES, AND SPECIFICATIONS
This is a temporary 'Test Layout' that is designed specifically to accomplish a few goals.
1. Create a 27 hole, Par 81 layout that plays and flows simply and quickly.
2. Eliminate known pinch points and usual backup locations.
3. Direct throws and play away from hazards, shule, and water areas where discs tend to be lost or cause delays.
4. Make successful play available to a wider array of players than the 'more challenging' Normal NSRA Disc Golf Course.
5. Minimize walking on slippery, muddy, or treacherous ground.
WATER, RIVER - Any 'year-round flowing' water is OB in/on or over. This includes flowing water that may be overflowing normal river bank.
To reach 'river', you would get really unlucky, but there are a couple places it could be possible. The most likely of these would be holes 15, 17, and 24 (normal Sedro 8, 10, and 17). For all of these, you would have to throw well long of the basket and through trees. On hole 24, once the water is flowing free of the grass, it becomes river. Use judgement and as always, benefit goes to player.
WATER, STANDING - Puddles, Bogs, Drainage Ditches [even if flowing, i.e. between holes 2 & 3 (NSRA 1 & 2)], etc. Play as 'casual releif'. You have the option to play as it lies and stand in the water, or to take first available dry stance behind water, on a direct line from the basket through the disc. You may NOT take a stance closer to the basket than the location of the disc or move the lie off a line extending from the basket through the landing spot of the disc.
If there is thick grass growing through the water, even if it appears to be flowing, [i.e. left on 24 (NSRA 17)] that water would be considered casual.
ERRANT SHOTS: If it is determined by the group to be "likely to take more than 3 minutes to access the disc" - even if the disc is visible - should be considered an 'unplayable lie' resulting in a re-throw with a penalty stroke. Unplayable discs can be retreived after your round is complete. Retreival that causes a delay in play will be awarded a penalty stroke. This layout minimizes this potential, but as we all know,... "Grip Happens".
As in all of Disc Golf, 'the players on the card are the referee'. This means that players are responsible to watch the throws of the other players on their card. Repeated or habitual failure to pay attention to other players throws may result in warning and if continued, may receive penalty strokes.
This is still 'NSRA Sedro Woolley'. The Blackberries, though substantially mitigated, still exist and they are still not any fun - be smart, throw straight, and do your best to avoid needing to go into them.
As Always, THIS IS A PUBLIC PARK. Please be patient and welcoming and yeild the right-of-way to pedestrians.
