Welcome back to Savannah for the second annual Savannah Harbor Shootout!! We are excited to have an entirely new layout for you as a result of the overwhelming support we received last year. I think you'll love the use of the full property and hopefully appreciate the level of effort the build team and myself put into this endeavor.
The Westin agreed to move forward with a permanent 18 hole championship layout which we've been working on diligently since the beginning of the year. We will be playing from earth tee pads again this year, but the plan is to place the permanent pads in Spring 2024 and locations will be based on feedback from the participants at this year's event. Make sure you follow this in the coming years as we have several additional features that will be added into the course over time. Things such as elevated greens, elevated tee pads, thinning of rough are among these plans. After this event, the course is intended to remain open for year-round play with the only exception being the time we need to place the concrete pads. The course is fully open NOW for pre-tournament rounds. We will have doubles events to help us get it beat in some before the Shootout so watch the SDGA page for those announcements.
This is a long course and as such, we will be playing 2 rounds (1 each day) with tee time starts. This will allow us to have the maximum number of people in the event and give everyone time to enjoy downtown Savannah and recoup for the second round. The event will be trophy only for amateurs and 50% payout for professionals.
Tee assignments are as follows (I have swapped the tee order to play the longer tee's during the first round if you were playing a mix. This was to keep the posted start times for each day but allow for extra daylight hours):
MPO, MP40, MA1 - Gold Gold
FPO, MP50, MA40, MA2 - Gold Blue
MP60, MA50, FA1 - Blue Blue
MA60, FA2, MA3 - Blue Red
All other divisions - Red Red

Cash CTP's:
There will be cash CTP's available during the first round of play for those who buy-in
Merch CTP's:
There will be merch CTP's available during the second round of play, everyone is eligible upon registration.
Ace Pot:
All holes are active for the ace pot and in the event several are hit (we had 9 last year on seven different holes) they will be split between the group. You must buy-in to be eligible. If no aces are hit, the money will roll over into the next event at this property in the form of added cash and/or cash CTP's.
Raffle:
We intend to have a raffle this year and would like to close those sales Sunday morning so we can draw tickets while people are on the course. This will allow everyone the opportunity to travel home as soon as they are finished as we won't be having an award ceremony but will instead recognize the winners as divisions finish. The money generated from the raffle will be used to continue bringing better things to this event.

Beyond that, there are several hotels in the downtown Savannah area as well as some cheaper locations in nearby Pooler.
Camping:
There are campgrounds fairly close in South Carolina. I don't have particular recommendations but suggest a Google search for campgrounds near Hutchinson Island GA. That brought back several I wasn't aware of.
Food and drink:
Westin is planning the following to be available on both days during the event:
The beverage cart will be available beginning at 8:00am.
Breakfast 8:00am-10:00am: Muffins, breakfast breads, granola bars and a hot breakfast sandwich
Lunch 11:00am-2:00pm: Assorted fresh made pizza on our outdoor pizza oven sold by the slice
There is also continental breakfast and lunch available inside the Golf Clubhouse.
During your round we'll have water stations available. It will either be bottled water or large jugs for refilling your containers.
