About this tournament

Let's get ready to rumble!...see what I did there...

The Rumble at the Ridge is a single round C-Tier tournament played at one of the hardest courses in Delaware, Greenridge DGC.

This tournament will change it up a little bit with entrants being invited to the single round C-Tier tournament, but will also enter the double elimination putting competition within their division to be hosted after the normal round of DG providing two chances to win for the day.

Prizes will be allocated equally between the two styles of tournaments.

The layout for the normal play round will be the longest available at the time with a typical shotgun start.

Putting Contest Rules
The putting contest will be a double elimination tournament amongst members in your own division. Up to 20 open, 20 MA1 and 32 MA2.

Players will be randomized to set the initial bracket, but in Open and MA1 the players who finish 1-4 in the traditional disc golf round will get byes into the second round of the putting competition but will be seeded randomly 1-4.

Multiple basket locations will be setup with lines set up at the length of 15 feet, 20 feet, 25 feet, 30 and 35 feet.

Each match will consist of a best of 3 round competition. Players will flip a disc, with the winner choosing to go first or second.

At the start of round 1 Player A will get 5 throws from any combination of distances to attempt to accumulate as much points as they can. If they make a putt from 15' they will be awarded 1 point, 20' =2 points, 25'=3 points and 30'=4 and 35' and or beyond will be worth 6 points. At the end of their 5 throws, player B will have a chance to beat Player A's score, again throwing from any combination of distances that they would like. If the score is tied, player A wins the round, Player B MUST BEAT Player A's score to get the win.

Round 2 will be played the same as round 1 however Player B will set the bar and Player A will then have to beat Player B to win the round.

If any player accumulates two wins the match is over and the winning player advances to the next round and the loser either being sent to the losers bracket or being eliminated.

If each player wins one round, another flip is performed with the winner getting to choose to go first or second playing the same rules as the previous round, with the first player to throw setting the score, and the second player to throw having to beat it.

In the final matchup, the player from the losers bracket will have to beat the player from the winners bracket in TWO best of 3 series to be the winner, where if the person from the winners bracket wins ONE best of 3 series they are the putting champion.
