I'm sorry I have to do this, but I need to stay home this weekend. I have an uninvited guest who's not happy with me. he's threatening to tear up my yard, flood my basement, and even damage my car. He's a very unstable fellow by the name of Ian. Seriously though, I do need to stay home for this. If you can't fill my spot, I'm perfectly happy to accept a prize pack instead.
Good luck and try to stay dry everyone,
SilverWolf

BOO! It's only going to rain a 1/3rd of an inch all day - with most of it at night. You're just going to give Sharky another victory?! ;)

Ryan Farrell    September 30, 2022 at 5:24pm

Where will check in be located? Pavillion behind 4s basket?

Sam Gibson   September 30, 2022 at 5:37pm

It says the Pavillion on the About tab on the schedule.

Ryan Farrell   September 30, 2022 at 6:27pm

Thanks. I looked everywhere for it but I guess I missed that.

Bradley Mitchell    September 29, 2022 at 10:59am

I unfortunately have to withdraw from the tournament this weekend. I sent an email on Tuesday. Can you please confirm? Thank you.

Does anyone know if the existing concrete tee pads are the short or long? Or is it a mix of both?

Chris Bleiler   September 29, 2022 at 11:59am

Existing concrete are the longs. The shorts are the toe boards painted white

R.J. Esperidion   September 29, 2022 at 2:20pm

Thanks!

Sam Gibson    September 29, 2022 at 3:07am

Will relief to the sides of the tee pads be allowed since these ones become dangerous when damp?

Got me one of those Grip-It-Rip-It pads to try out. Thanks, Fred,

Fred Scensny Jr   September 30, 2022 at 6:06pm

Sorry for my brusque response earlier. I'm not sure if Nick will follow suit, but the Rockburn Dubs league did provide for relief during all rounds that were wet. Player safety is paramount, of course.

Sam Gibson   September 30, 2022 at 6:46pm

No worries at all!

Mark Sherwood    September 28, 2022 at 11:19pm

Please remove Bill Boyd from the waitlist.

Is the tournament rain or shine? Large rain amounts are expected Saturday

Nick Belle   September 28, 2022 at 11:36pm

Yes, It's currently still planned. The NOAA map I was looking at is only calling for .75" of rain by 2pm

Sam Gibson   September 29, 2022 at 3:07am

Only....

Graeme Crouch    September 24, 2022 at 6:02pm

Ahh, that's too bad. Thanks for clarifying though!

Can I just confirm? Right now, registration indicates I am WL#12, therefore I am not yet truly registered in MA4. Thanks, just want to make sure I am interpreting registration correctly.

That's correct.

Andrew S Miller    September 19, 2022 at 8:26pm

What’s going on with the construction project on the fairway of hole 12? Will that be resolved before the tournament?

Devin Rowell   September 19, 2022 at 8:41pm

Rockburn does a haunted hay ride for halloween, which includes a haunted house on hole 12. It will still be there for the tournament, and last year Nick made anything that lands inside it OB.

Nick Belle   September 20, 2022 at 1:21pm

Devin is correct. The structure will be complete, but not in use by the public during the event. Landing inside the structure will be considered an OB throw.

Any chance of two days, pro and am?

Nick Belle   September 9, 2022 at 3:00am

Not this year, but next year it's looking likely.

Sam Gibson    August 11, 2022 at 4:27pm

Question(s) about the course:

Hole 4: Will the path and beyond be OB?
Hole 6: Will the left path and beyond be OB?
Hole 9: Any special rules about this? Island Green over the fence?
Hole 10: Will the path (right) and beyond be OB?
Hole 11: Will the path and beyond be OB? Will a line be painted?
Hole 12: Will the road be OB?
Hole 14: Will the road (long) be OB?
Hole 15: Will the OB area have a line painted or flags or stakes put in the ground to mark OB?
Hole 16: Will the path and beyo ... more

This was from the caddy guide of the tournament last year, so I would imagine that it would be very similar. -OB and Mandos Generally, OB will consist of all paths and beyond, unless a path crosses through the fairway. This “path and beyond” OB will not be marked with string or flags. -T ... more

Fred Scensny Jr   August 12, 2022 at 5:41pm

I tried to answer your questions based on last year's rules and the way that dubs is played.  Nick has final say. Hole 4: No OB Hole 6: Path left OB both rounds, path that crosses fairway OB when playing to Red but not White Hole 9: No OB Hole 10: No OB Hole 11: Path and beyond OB - touchi ... more

Nick Belle   August 15, 2022 at 6:58pm

Hey Sam, The above comments are generally correct and safe to practice with. There's a few minor tweaks I'm considering, but haven't finalized yet. Any changes will be in a final Caddy Guide released ~2 weeks before the event.

Chris roseboom    August 10, 2022 at 12:11am

Thought I waitlisted by accident, please disregard our refund request for Matt Roseboom MA1waitlist#4. He would like to play if he gets the chance

Not a problem, I've removed the request.
