Apparently I am not able to upload the course Rules for an unsanctioned event..... So bear with me here. I'll copy and paste them here. And I'll provide paper copies on the day of the tournament when you check in.
RED MOUNTAIN RUMBLE RULES
GENERAL RULES
Any questions during play, please text Curtis at 480-227-8963.
I’ll do my best to respond when I can. ( I will be playing though, so please be a little patient if I don’t respond immediately)
1. HAVE FUN
a. Yes, we’re playing for money and prizes, but we are here to have fun first and foremost.
b. Don’t be an A-Hole
i. We respect all skill levels and knowledge of the game. If someone is doing something wrong, call them on it in a nice manner so as to educate them.
2. BE EARLY for both the Morning and Noon start times.
a. Player meeting, card and hole assignments 15 minutes prior to start time, and we’ll try to start our rounds no later than 8:15am and 12:15 respectively.
b. Please don’t be the one person who’s holding back 30-60 people.
3. Check In Locations
a. AM Check in and player meeting will be between the Bathrooms of South Course and the Parking Lot close to the new soccer fields.
i. I’ll have a small table set up and a cart for the canned foods.
ii. You can still buy raffle tickets or get into the Ace Pot on the day of the tournament.
b. Noon Check in no later than 11:45.
i. This check in and card assignment will be at the Ramada Closest to Hole 8 on Red Mountain North.
1. It’s very central to all of our starting and finishing holes.
4. Post Tournament CTP – Meet at Ramada Closest to Hole 8’s Tee Pad post Tournament.
a. Only if NO ACES Are Hit During the Tournament
b. I will place a practice basket in the middle of the park and all players who paid into the ace pot may play for the CTP. The CTP for each division will win 1/3 of the ace pot.
i. If you didn’t buy into the Ace Pot, you will not qualify for this CTP.
5. Payouts, CTP’s & Raffle Prizes after the tournament
a. Meeting at the Ramada Closest to Hole 8 at Red Mountain North
i. Will have one final chance to purchase raffle tickets.
6. USE COMMON SENSE ON THE COURSE
a. If it’s obviously OB or Hazard or missed the mando, it’s probably OB, hazard or missed mando, please don’t be that person who’s looking for flaws in the rules. The rules are pretty well thought out but there could be errors, please use this time from now until the tournament starts to review the rules and make sure any questions are answered prior to your rounds.
b. Be respectful of your card mates, but please don’t be a stickler. Most of us have played this long enough to understand what OB and Hazard is and isn’t.
c. Text or call me with any questions – Text first however
i. 480-227-8963
7. 666 Rules
a. TOUGH SHOT
i. Both Players Tee off, and the opposing team will choose which is the tough shot.
ii. Then both players will throw from the tough shot and again take the shot that’s furthest from the basket or more difficult, chosen again by your opposing card mates.
iii. Once one player makes a putt, or throws a shot in, the hole is completed.
1. Both players do not have to make it in the basket.
a. Example 1- If one player throws OB, and the second player Aces, the ace would count and you would card a score of 1.
b. Example 2 - if one person misses a C2 putt and the other makes it, you would card that as a made putt and the hole has been completed.
b. BEST SHOT
i. Both Players tee off and play from the most advantageous tee shot.
ii. Both players will continue to play from their most advantageous position until the disc is in the basket.
c. ALTERNATE SHOT
i. On the first hole you play of alternate shot, each team must choose ONE player to tee off.
ii. The second partner will play from where the disc landed
1. one shot per lie alternating players until the hole is completed.
2. Whichever partner makes the putt, the other partner must Tee off on the next hole.
iii. If you start on 14-18, please note who made the last putt so you’ll know which partner will tee off on 13 when you get back to it.

If for some reason the string line is broke, please use your best judgement… if it’s in the rocks its OB and Play from where disc was last in bounds with a one stroke penalty. If it’s not touching any of the rocks but is close and there’s no string, it should be considered in bounds. Let’s use common sense on this hole.

- We are going to play the long hole with a dirt Tee Pad not far from 7 Long’s Basket. It’ll be marked by a couple of painted rocks. If you use uDisc it would be considered the Pro Long Layout. This could be a big score separator.

HOLE 3 – Par 3 - Island Green – Hazard and OB
- Disc must be inside, on top of or touching the bricks outlining the green. If outside the green, play as hazard with a one stroke penalty. If over the curb long into the street or parking lot or sidewalk, that would be OB and play from where the last disc was in bounds with a one stroke penalty.
Hole 3b – Par 3
- If over the curb long into the street or parking lot or sidewalk, that would be OB and play from where the last disc was in bounds with a one stroke penalty.

Hole 6 – Par 3
- Sidewalk Right and beyond OB. Sidewalk, Curb and Road Long of basket OB. Play from where the last disc was in bounds with a one stroke penalty.
Hole 7 – Par 3 – Island Green – Hazard and OB
- Disc must land in grass area defined by curbing short right and left and sidewalk long. If your disc was short but on dirt, it plays as Hazard with one stroke penalty. If disc finds its way to the curb and culdesac right, it is OB and play from where it was last in bounds. If disc goes long of basket over the sidewalk, that is considered OB and take from where it was last in bounds.
TOUGH SHOT HOLES – 8, 9, 10, 11, 11B & 12
Hole 8 – Par 3
- If disc is inside the culdesac, it is OB. Play from where it last crossed the curb in bounds. The culdesac curb is considered out of bounds so if you don’t cross, you may throw from where it last crossed that curb with a one stroke penalty.
Hole 9 – Par 3 – Mando in Play
- Mando left of Telephone Pole
- Curb Sidewalk and Beyond to the right is OB. Play from where the last disc was in bounds with a one stroke penalty.
Hole 10 – Par 3 – Mando in Play
- Mando left and below marked tree branch in the middle right side of fairway. If mando is missed, drop zone is left of the base of that mando tree with a 1 stroke penalty.
- OB Long of string line dividing 10 & 11’s fairways. Play from where the last disc was in bounds with a one stroke penalty.
Hole 11 – Par 3 – Triple Mando in Play
- Mandos left and right of marked trees. Invisible mando above the trees. The hole was designed to shoot through the tree gap, not over the tree gap. There is no mando sign high of the tree gap, but please use common sense. The shot is designed to go THROUGH the tree gap and skip to the left. Please make sure your cardmates understand this before Teeing off. If mandos are missed, there is a designated drop zone near the right hand tree mando with a one stroke penalty.
- OB is considered Curb, Sidewalk and Beyond. Play from where the last disc was in bounds with a one stroke penalty.
Hole 12 – Par 4 – Triple Mando in Play
- 3 Marked Mandos. Left of the Telphone Pole, Right of the Short Tee Pad Sign, and mando below the Tree Line. The design was to throw through the tree gap. There is a high mando sign in the tree with an arrow pointing down. If Mando is missed, proceed to the short Tee Pad with a one stroke penalty.
- ALL LADIES MAY TEE OFF FROM THE SHORT TEE PAD
