Thanks for playing the event today and we hope everyone had an outstanding time! We had an oversight on the Par for hole #9 North on the Long Layout. We had it listed as a Par 3 and it should be a Par 4. We made the correction and those that played that layout will now notice their scores 1 stroke better, relative to Par.

Looks like my card totals didn’t get submitted correctly. Any way to fix that?

We are almost to game day! Course maps have been added to the event pictures section. We also sent a "Virtual Player's Meeting" email out to all participants this evening. Please read it completely and save it for future reference.

The PDGA Digital Scorecard will be the official scorecard for the event. Plus, the PDGA just announced a new feature that will now allow multiple players on the card to keep score. The real benefit of the new scorecard is in the way it helps players AND tournament directors ensure accuracy by resolving any scoring errors.

Keeping score on the PDGA Digital Scorecard is easy and for a great how-to tutorial, go to - https://www.pdga.com/apps/tournament/score/help

I'm not sure if others already knew about this....now multiple players on a card can keep score using PDGA's live scoring app.

Is there anyway I could be moved to the intermediate division? I saw that MA2 had an open spot and I am currently in MA1.

Roman Elizondo   October 22, 2021 at 3:05am

Even though it shows 1 available it’s not because we have been promoting off the waitlist in order for each POOL separately. As you can see the as a whole each POOL is full and we are doing our best to accommodate more players. In this instance you are in the A-Pool and there are no available spots in B-POOL sorry. Unfortunately we not be able to make the change. I hope this makes sense.

Marty where are the south/north pool instructions. I cant find them anywhere. Just wanna know where MA3 is starting. Fingers crossed we start on North!

Marty Coplea   October 22, 2021 at 5:12am

You can find it on the event schedule. MA3 is B-Pool and starts on the North Course.

Kristofer Jonson   October 22, 2021 at 4:46pm

Thanks so much Marty, appreciate it!

Tyler Caldwell    October 21, 2021 at 4:48pm

Hey Roman and Marty. It appears we’re burning through the waitlist at a decent clip in MA2. When might those on the cusp learn if they made the cut? Thanks for setting this up!

Marty Coplea   October 21, 2021 at 4:54pm

It is totally dependent on if/when register players withdraw from the event. We process those requests and promote players immediately from the waitlist. Unfortunately, it is impossible for us to predict.

Tyler Caldwell   October 21, 2021 at 5:06pm

Roger that. Looks promising in intermediate, so I’ll keep an eye on it. Much appreciated, Marty.

Bill Fleming    October 21, 2021 at 4:23pm

I have a question about the rule for North hole 8. For those who haven't played it, there is a drop-off behind the basket and the majority of TDs are good about setting up a rule so you aren't standing on the edge where it could crumble and the player fall. So my question....is the 'relief' only if your disc/stance would be on the edge or does it include the area beyond the drop-off? I think it is only for player safety and to keep us from having to throw from near the ed ... more

Marty Coplea   October 21, 2021 at 4:49pm

Yes. It is only for safety relief for disc that are on the hill near the edge. It does not apply to discs that land past the hill on the lower ground.

Robert Cummings III   October 21, 2021 at 8:05pm

Nice

Bill Fleming   October 21, 2021 at 9:16pm

Thanks for the clarification. I was pretty sure that was the answer....but this way it is clear should it come up during the rounds.

Marty Coplea    October 20, 2021 at 8:08pm

The course rules have been added to the event picture section. You can also find them on the Facebook event page at https://fb.me/e/19uxDf5p2

Will this been sent to us in an email or print outs the day of? Or would it be advised for us to print them for ourselves or save them. I did read them already.

Bill Fleming   October 21, 2021 at 4:18pm

Armando.....when TDs send out the tournament rules, I always print them off as there might not be cell signal to pull them up and read them when there are questions (and someone always has a question about one or more). But the rules are usually included in the scoring app....so when you get to each hole and pull up the hole on the live scoring, it should show the rule(s) for that hole.

Armando Cruz   October 22, 2021 at 3:06pm

Thanks Bill, I actually decided to print them out this morning to have a hardcopy with me instead of having to check my phone. It gets annoying having to check your phone every hole.

Marty Coplea    October 20, 2021 at 4:07am

We are looking forward to seeing everyone this Saturday for the 2021 Red Mountain Classic. Hole #11 on the North Course will be played a little differently this year. See graphic in the picture section for complete details and stayed tuned for more course and event updates this week.

Thanks for getting this info out to us so early!

Kristofer Jonson    October 19, 2021 at 6:16pm

Hi. I am number 1 on the waitlist. What are the chances of me getting in on Saturday?

Roman Elizondo   October 19, 2021 at 9:02pm

Probably decent there has been a lot of action the last couple days.

Etienne Barnes    October 19, 2021 at 5:26pm

One last question. Are we playing the regular layouts of both the North and South courses? Or are they custom layouts.

Marty Coplea   October 20, 2021 at 3:51am

Yes, but there are a few holes that will be modified and a shorter layout for some divisions. More details will be posted shortly.

duVal Goley    October 19, 2021 at 1:51am

Will need to withdraw from tournament. duVal Goley/MA50. Understand probably too late for refund. No problem. Thanks.
