Many people have told me that they really enjoy competing in a big field of players with similar PDGA ratings. In BC and Canada, it seems that many players tend to play in divisions above their ratings. Due to the popularity of tournaments and scarcity of spots, this means that higher ranked players in each division may not get the chance to register and/or compete against similarly ranked players. So Ace Runners is running a ratings-based events where registration will be based on your current PDGA rating.

Ratings will follow PDGA's suggested levels of play (see https://www.pdga.com/files/4_-_2022_player_division_grid_-table_5_v12.pdf).The planned events are as follows:

Sunday, Sept 11: Mixed Amateur 1 rated 935+ (including Pros under 970), Mixed Amateur 2 rated 900-934, Mixed Amateur 3 rated 850-899
and Mixed Amateur 4 rated 849 and lower

Please note the following for this event:

1. YOU MUST HAVE A PDGA NUMBER TO REGISTER. IF YOU HAVE NEVER PLAYED A PDGA EVENT AND HAVE NO RATING, YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO PLAY IN THIS EVENT. IF YOUR RATING IS BELOW THE REQUIRED RATING AND YOU ARE ABLE TO REGISTER, YOUR REGISTRATION WILL BE CANCELLED AND YOU WILL BE REFUNDED IN FULL MINUS A $5 PROCESSING FEE.

2. Registration will be tiered so higher rated players will have the opportunity to register first.

3. Your entry fee will be disbursed as follows: $2 PDGA Fee, $10 Raptors Knoll Green Fee, CTP prizing, Trophy prizing, and each player will receive a custom stamped disc only available from Ace Runners. For those of you who don’t know, Raptors Knoll is maintained by volunteers and overseen by the Jackman Wetlands Disc Golf Society. Annual membership is $50 and includes member benefits such as a 100% discount on event green fees held at Raptors Knoll. All current members were emailed a discount code on August 17, 2022 which they can input during registration to decrease their entry fee by $10. Please bear in mind that this event is an experiment and I anticipate I will run across issues that I haven't thought of. If you have constructive comments/suggestions, I will consider them for future events.

Ace Runners is responsible for all refunds/cancellations. Withdrawals must be submitted through The Disc Golf Scene or withdrawal requests must be emailed to the Tournament Director.

Cancellation prior to 7:00 pm on September 6, 2022: Registrants will receive a full refund of their entry fee minus a $5 processing fee.

Cancellation on or after 7:00 pm on September 6, 2022: Registrants will receive a full refund of their entry fee minus a $5 processing fee ONLY if their spot is filled by a waitlisted registrant. If their spot is not filled, they forfeit their entry free and do not receive a refund or player pack disc.

Waitlisted registrants who do not get into the event will receive a full refund minus a $5 processing fee.
