THE RACE FOR RUSSELL RESCUE - BIRDIE DERBY BY PRODIGY DISC
Muletown Disc Golf and Dollar Mart Plus Discs invites you to a CHARITY round of disc golf at our beautiful course Woodland Park in Columbia, TN! This will be a 3-disc challenge, and all players will use the same discs from the player packs received at check-in. Show up, get your discs, and play in one of our CIRCUITS for $30 or $40. The Birdie Derby is the perfect event for anyone and everyone curious about the game of disc golf. This is a non-sanctioned round, so there’s no pressure.
Dollar Mart Plus Discs will be setup so come snag some new plastic and equipment before and after the round. They will be donating $1/disc sold at the round!
Enjoy a casual round of disc golf with your family and friends or meet someone new! What better way to experience disc golf than raising money for some Russell Terriers in need!
WHAT IS RUSSELL RESCUE?
Russell Rescue (RRI) is a network of volunteers dedicated to placing unwanted, displaced or abandoned Jack Russell Terriers into permanent homes. All dogs entering rescue are either temporarily placed in a foster home or must remain with their owners until a suitable home can be found.
Russell Rescue will be holding an adoption session 10:00am - 2:00pm

EVENT INFORMATION
As part of your sign up, you get three discs exclusive to the Birdie Derby valued at $50 to play your round with. These discs are some of Prodigy’s most popular plastic blends and models with exclusive artwork.
We will be running 2 Circuits. There is no requirement or restriction for which you would like to play. You can only participate in one circuit.
The amount of early participation will determine how many slots we open up during registration. We are going to start with 50 for now, but may open up through 90 if we have the player demand. So come on and get signed up early!!
Special Rule Considerations: Women and Players under the age of 16 will receive a 2 stroke adjustment
CIRCUIT 1 Information:
- 1st through 3rd will be awarded a trophy.
- Top 2 players (possibly 3 depending on signups) will be awards a Prodigy BP2 Backpack
- Entry Cost: $40
- Circuit 1 Layout: Short Tee Pads to Blue Baskets
CIRCUIT 2 Information:
- 1st through 3rd will be awarded a trophy.
- Top 50% of players will be awarded a Bonus 2-disc combo on top of their 3 disc packs already playing with
- Entry Cost: $30
- Circuit 2 Layout: Short Tee Pads to Red Baskets
ALL Proceeds after payment of player packs will be donated to Russell Rescue.
This will be a shotgun start, where players are assigned a hole and play the rest of the course from there. We will be keeping score via UDISC LIVE. We encourage you to arrive with plenty of time to get signed into UDISC and Snag your discs.
Meet your teammates:
• Bert the Pigeon is ready to help you find the birdies on the Prodigy PA-5, a silky smooth understable putter perfect for everyone. It’s a great pick for a player learning to play for the first time to find immediate distance on your throw or putt with pristine accuracy, and a go-to for experienced players looking for an understable putter with a ton of glide.
• Albie is a curious Albatross ready to take on your Derby on the Prodigy A5, a slightly overstable approach disc in the stunning 300 Fractal plastic. The A5 has a nice, smooth feel with a shallow profile and flat top, which makes it ideal for sidearm approaches and fit for any player.
• Parker the Owl is ready to soar on the Prodigy F3, a stable fairway driver. The F3 is tailor made for long, controllable flights with a mild finish. It comes in the new ReBlend Premium plastic, a 100% recycled blend of plastics creating a sustainable and unique look on the course.
