Peace Battle
About this tournament
A road trip battle through the Peace Country!
In one day, we are playing a round in Dawson Creek, Fort St John, and Fairview with dinner at the Heilan House.
This is a casual event. But with some fun competitions and prizes along the way.
Players meetings are subject to change, but are anticipated to be:
Dawson Creek: 8:30am Alberta Time/7:30am BC Time
Fort St John: 12:30pm Alberta Time/1:30pm BC Time
Fairview: 5:00pm Alberta Time/6:00pm BC Time
Dinner in Fairview: 7:00pm Alberta Time/8:00pm BC Time
Note: Registrations will cover your first drink at Heilan House, but players are responsible for their own meal.

Hark, ye warriors of the Peace Country,
Another year has turned, and the winds of battle call,
The echoes of past glories still linger in the air,
But the fields lay quiet, awaiting your return.
I, the Great Elephant, have watched and remembered,
Each throw, each clash, etched into memory’s vault,
And now, as the sun rises on a new contest,
I prepare to bear witness once more to your feats of might.
The Sasquatch of Grande Prairie, mighty and proud,
Yet unsure if the Moose of Dawson Creek or the Wolves of Fort St. John
Dare to reappear upon the sacred battlegrounds,
Have resolved to battle within their own ranks,
To crown the most heroic hucker of all.
The old fields of Dawson Creek and Fort St. John beckon,
Where memories of last year’s conquests will be rekindled,
But a new battlefield calls, where challenges await—
Fairview, with its treacherous throws over waters deep,
And traps of sand that guard the path to victory.
In this land, where discs fly through perilous skies,
The Sasquatch will prove their skill, their mettle,
And at the Heilan House, the victor shall be toasted,
In the company of comrades, tales of valor shared.
But know this, ye brave disc warriors—
The Great Elephant’s gaze is upon you still,
For elephants never forget,
And your triumphs, your struggles, your battles hard-fought,
Will be remembered, enshrined in the lore of the Peace Battle.
So ready your discs, steady your aim,
And embark on this journey of skill and pride,
For the Peace Battle resumes, its legend ever-growing,
And I, the Great Elephant, shall record every moment,
Until we meet again on the fields of glory next summer.
