"Paws in the Park 2015" Almost Home Animal Shelter fundraiser

Paws in the Park 2015 disc golf tournament:
This tournament will be part of "Paws in the Park 2015" fundraising festival, taking place at Iron Mountain City Park on June 20th, 2015. All fundraising profits will given to the Almost Home Animal Shelter for their operating expenses.
During the break between 2 rounds of 18 holes, World Record and Guinness World Record Holder Rob McLeod http://www.frisbeerob.com/ and "Davy Whippet' http://www.davywhippet.com/ will perform a throw-and-catch distance demonstration and/or a maximum time aloft throw-and-catch demonstration. Davy Whippet is a world champion whippet breed canine disc athlete. Rob McLeod is a multiple disc sport elite athlete and disc sport ambassador. Rob has been a guest speaker at numerous schools, across North America, where he uses his participation in disc sports as an example of goal setting/attainment and bullying prevention.
The Paws in the Park 2015 tournament format will be similar to a Vibram Birdie Bash or a DisCraft Ace Race. Participants will tee off from temporary tee locations located within 150 feet from the basket. Players will have only 2 throws to reach the basket: an initial tee shot and a subsequent approach or putt. Points will be earned by hitting any metal on the basket (1 point), getting a birdie (2 points), or getting an ace (5 points). Preregistration online will be $25. The players pack will include a limited edition DisCraft Crystal Buzzz midrange, with course/club logo; a DisCraft Soft Magnet putter; a DisCraft mini marker disc; a tournament t-shirt; and DisCraft stickers and pencils....local sponsors will provide additional prizes for all categories (Mens, Womens, and Juniors). Refund policy
No refunds will be given. If you can't make it to the tournament you can pickup your players pack within 30 days from the end of the tournament by contacting Eric Willman at (906)360-4843. This is an all volunteer fundraiser and having to deal with refunds is rugged! Thank you
