Cell coverage is sketchy there. Will the pdga live scoring work properly over the whole course?

As a side note: I know some who struggle a lot with newer phones and better carriers, but most people get by with the apps ability to continue on with no connection for a bit, and syncing back up after the round. I don't recommend using the browser on your phone.

We second what Chase said. It's rare for people to lose connection to the point where the scoring drops, but it has happened. We would recommend using the PDGA Live App which continues on without connection and will upload data once a connection is restored. We have run many events using PDGA Live Scoring without incident.

Thank you. Sounds like the pdga app is as reliable as udisc for these purposes.

So for pros is $60 to possibly win $43 and no trophies?

The payouts for each pro division will be $43/player and there will be 1st place trophies for each division. Based on current registrations, there are 3 pros in the same division so that's $129 total payouts for 1st place in that division since we payout to top 45% for pro divisions.

top 45% huh? 3 of us in MP40, but only 1st place got paid the entire $129. That's only the top 33%. By the math listed above, 2nd place should of been paid as well (which was a tie, so split) ?

From what Pros have told us in the past, they prefer higher payouts for top finishers, so we round down. If we paid the top 50% for Pros, then we'd round up for a field of 3 and pay out 1st and 2nd. But since we pay out top 45% for Pros, we just pay 1st place. We've tried to treat pro payouts consistently. We certainly aren't trying to deceive anyone and appreciate your feedback.
