About this tournament
Presented by Redpoint BBQ in combination with the PFIC Labor Day Party. (https://events.pfic.org/party2024/)
To benefit the nonprofit PFIC Network. Progressive Familial Intrahepatic Cholestasis (PFIC) is a rare genetic liver disease that typically leads to liver failure before age 10. The PFIC Network is based in the Red River Gorge and supports the global PFIC community. Find more info at PFIC.org
Registration $25-$50. Proceeds to benefit PFIC Network.
Included in the registration fee is: T-Shirt available to disc golf registrants on or before Aug 5th, Players pack (details to follow), one (or more) CTPs per competitive division, and a ticket to the PFIC Labor Day Party, including live music, raffles, Cornhole tournament, and more. There will be a lunch between rounds available for disc golf players.
This is an unsanctioned, 3 division, 2 round, single day, singles’ tournament focused primarily on raising money and awareness for PFIC Network. Our goal is to provide an enjoyable competitive environment for those looking for it in the Open and Intermediate divisions while providing a relaxed, beginner-friendly experience for those interested in the Beginner/ Novice division and Casual round. The single casual round is provided for those that just want to play and don’t have a desire to engage in the competitive nature of the other divisions. Please be honest when choosing your division.
Open division-2 rounds- Full 18-Shotgun start, reshuffle cards after first round. Cash prize for 1st, 2nd, 3rd: $300, $200 $100.
Intermediate division ( capped at 875 rating if you have a pdga rating) -2 rounds-Full 18-Shotgun start, reshuffle cards after first round. Prize packs for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Details to follow.
Novice/Beginner division -2 rounds-FRONT 9 ONLY-Shotgun start. Prize packs for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Details to follow.
Casual- 1 round, shotgun start, play the front only or the whole 18, your choice. There will be no prizes for the casual division but you will still receive the players pack.
Winners for each division will be based on cumulative score from both rounds. In the event of a tie there will be a sudden death playoff on holes 1, 2 and 9.
Optional $5 ace pot. Buy-in available with registration or day of. Goes to first ace hit. If not hit, there will be a single elimination long putt contest before the awards ceremony.
All competitive disc golf registrants will have the option of registering for the Cornhole tournament at a discounted price at the time of registration.
All disc golf registrants will receive a pass on round one of the Cornhole tournament.
