PDG-2 at Haute Goat - Supported by Innova Discs
About this tournament
Come to Haute Goat Saturday January 21st for the second PDG tournament of 2023. A PDGA sanctioned event where you come to compete just for the sake of competing. Long range forecast looks good, sunny and around zero degrees. The first event, PDG1, had 55 players.
PDG2 will be a 1 round PDGA sanctioned c-tier event with timed tee offs. When you sign up choose your tee time slot, by the hour, and who you want to play with. On the Friday before the event we will post the tee times. Made this change to facilitate the PDGA rule of at least three people on a card.
Signing up alone? Just choose a tee time slot and we will add you to a card.
Your entry fee includes your day-pass to Haute Goat and the administration fees associated with running a PDGA sanctioned event. There will be no player packs and no prizes or trophies for the winners. The advantage being we can offer this event to you at the PURE price of $17. If you happen to be a current member of Haute Goat you also get a $5 discount. We have priced this event such that your total fee through DGS including PP % and the $1.34 fee they charge should be less than twenty bucks.
This event is for Pros and Amateurs and we are offering a diversity of divisions. You will receive ratings updates and points as calculated by the PDGA.
We have also added the Pure Disc Golf Just For Fun division. This PDG division is for those that don't care about the PDGA stuff and just want to come play. Also a great division for friends and family you are dragging out but aren't keen on competing. We will expect them to respect the PDGA rules and the effort the other people on their card are making.
As your entry fee includes a day-pass to Haute Goat you are welcome to play some extra golf after your round if the tee time is available. But keep in mind you can't come play a round on the course before your formal round, that's against the PDGA rules.
Goats - Pros and MA1-FA1 will be playing the Big Blue Goat layout.
Alpacas - All other divisions will be playing the Short Goat by Throw Pink layout.
We will have some on course CTP prizes based on the number of participants.
There are also optional Ace Pots for the Goats and Alpacas. These will each be seeded with $50 by Haute Goat and will carry over to other Pure Disc Golf events. Currently the Alpaca pot is worth $140 and the Goat pot is worth $85. We had one ace on 12 during PDG1 but Graham didn't buy into the ace pot, sorry.
The Screaming Goat Café will be open all day. Expect updates on the menu.
Although there is no player meeting we do expect you all to check in at the Screaming Goat Café before your round.
Hope to see you at Haute Goat on the 21st.
