About this tournament
1 round of play
This page is for volunteer registration for the PDGA Champions Cup in Appling, Georgia. Major events such as this require an army of willing volunteers to create the absolute best event experience possible for the players and participants of the event. We couldn't be luckier to have such an amazing community of people who are willing to support and push forward the sport of disc golf. We would like to thank you all in advance for your interest and excitement in helping make this inaugural event one of the best in the history of the sport. Our volunteer coordinator will be reaching out with more detailed instructions and event information in the coming weeks.
Volunteers can choose between specific tasks or sign up as just a volunteer and choose what they want to do over the course of the event. Here is a list of the volunteer options:
VOL (VOLUNTEER) – This is the general volunteer registration for the event. In registration you will be asked for your preferred role. Please let us know which role(s) you would like to help with and we will do our best to accommodate these requests.
SPTR (SPOTTER) – You will be placed on select holes to aid players while they compete. Some spotter locations will be for OB (out of bounds) locations and others will be placed on blind corners for speed of play and player awareness.
CRWD (CROWD CONTROL) – The course has many areas that will require crowd control. Some will be for cards while others will be controlling galleries while they navigate the course and watch the players play. Some cards will have limited spectating availability. You help keep the players and patrons separated.
Volunteer Compensation
1st shift of event:
- An event staff shirt
- lunch
- entry into the RecTeq volunteer raffle
All subsequent shifts:
- An event stamped disc from Innova, an Innova insulated canteen, or a DD Hat
- lunch
- entry into the RecTeq volunteer raffle
