If you go through the comments here I believe it has been stated that Oshtemo is being played from the longs. Spinski's Championship course only has one teepad, same for Coldbrook. Meyer Broadway does have longs & shorts, but I believe Grands are playing the longs.

Bruce Brakel   July 18, 2015 at 11:49pm

Mr. Sweeton posted somewhere if the schedule does not say you are playing shorts, you are playing longs.

Looking for anybuddies who want to do a practice round at Timber Ridge tomorrow (Friday 7/17) around 10am.

Chad Cole   July 16, 2015 at 9:29am

I'll be out there with two friends at 1:30 if your interested, Randy.

Randy "Shide-Arm" Shideler   July 16, 2015 at 9:39am

That might work, if nobuddies are going around 10:00. Don't consider yourself my B plan, but rather A2.;<)

Chad Cole   July 16, 2015 at 11:31am

HA! I'll message you my number. You know. In case "A2" comes into effect.

OOOO thank you so much I was really hoping we would get one of those bins. Heads up I will probably be buying some bins or trading discs if anyone is trying to unload theirs.

Bruce Brakel   July 18, 2015 at 11:52pm

If you can't find Nick, look me up, especially if you throw Discraft.

Jay B    July 16, 2015 at 7:05am

Anything going on in kzoo tonight? Also im looking to play 1 or 2 courses, probably oshtemo and/or vicksburg in the morning, it will be my first time playing either so another set of eyes would be welcome

Dave Davies   July 16, 2015 at 7:48am

both are very flat courses, just keep an eye on your disc. @Vicksburg 1,2,12 are the only really hard holes for most people, 3 if you overshoot it you will end up in the water so play it safe until you see it up close. Oshtemo 15 is pretty blind so watch that one.

Jay B   July 16, 2015 at 8:31am

Thanks for the info, im thinking about a 930-10am tee off at oshtemo

I apologize for my ignorance but can someone shed some more light for me on how the field events work? Can you just show up at any time on Sunday between 10:00 – 5:00 to participate in the field events you signed up for or will there be a stricter schedule of “you have to participate in the putting competitions between #:## - #:##”? Thanks in advance!

Also I noticed that page 6 and page 7 of the players guide have different start and end times for the Field Events at Timer Ridge. Page 6 says 9:00 – 4:00 and page 7 says 10:00 – 5:00.

Andrew Sweeton   July 15, 2015 at 12:43pm

it is 10am-5pm, each event runs all day take your pick on how you wish to complete them. But it ENDS at 5pm, so you need to plan enough time to complete what you registered for befor e5pm.

Shane Brayton   July 15, 2015 at 12:59pm

Thanks Andrew, I was hoping that was the case.

Steve Nolff    July 15, 2015 at 4:43pm

Here is a direct link to the latest version 2.8 of the schedule. The PDGA website was a bit confusing, with the confirmation package schedule and player book schedule showing different versions. This could be fixed by now.

Oh, I just meant during my practice round during this week. I guess I'll ask when I get out there.

Steve Nolff   July 15, 2015 at 1:24pm

Absolutely ask, nick. The owners have expressed very large concerns about drinking and liability in the past. Perhaps they have changed their minds, but I don't believe that is likely.

Bruce Brakel   July 15, 2015 at 11:13pm

Timber Ridge is $5 each. You have to get there before 6:00 p.m. to play 18.

Chris Stone    July 15, 2015 at 5:46am

is it too late to register for skills and putting competitions?

Scott Jenkins    July 14, 2015 at 11:37pm

Just wondering, but is there any chance of being able to walk the courses for no charge if I don't take my discs to the courses Monday? I know it might be an odd question, but I don't have the time to play them all.... and hate to be paying $20-30 just to have a walk through.

Ghosts are known to haunt the cemetary.

Bruce Brakel   July 16, 2015 at 11:33am

Lonely, historic cemetary on a deserted country road. Coyote barks from across the farm field. Ominous music fades. The sound of feet crunching on the gravel shoulder. "I don't know why we had to park in the cemetary." "I'll walk in and drive the car out if you want." "I'm afraid." "This is not a movie." Kiralyn's grip tightens on the pointed stick...

Dave Davies   July 16, 2015 at 12:35pm

begin banjo music... "you got some purty discs boy!"

Derek Wintermans    July 14, 2015 at 9:43pm

Looking for some local knowledge for an international MA1 competitor...
Of the 6 courses played in Advanced, which need to be practiced, and which could be played blind? There's no way I'll be able to practice all 6 thoroughly. Thank you very much!

spinskie long and Vicksburg throws will hurt u if never played I'm a local

Bruce Brakel   July 15, 2015 at 11:29pm

I agree about playing Spinski Champion. There are some birdie holes and some o.b. and a mando you want to see. If you already know how to throw down a mountain, you can skip Timber Ridge. If you don't know how to throw down a mountain, you need the skill. Vicksburg has some holes you'll want to see. Oshtemo is pretty straight forward. I guess I pretty much agree with what is already on here.

Kaylee Campbell    July 14, 2015 at 8:13pm

Hello, I'm playing FJ1, I was wondering what would be the best lodge for me to stay in? I'm playing Coldbrook, Spinski Original, Robert Morris, Vicksburg and Timbr Ridge for finals. Thank you. I'd prefer camping.

Matt, he answered on another thread Monday evening after the close of check-in for Tuesday rounds. As soon as possible for other days. And I'm really sorry about not getting back to you last weekend. Very, very sorry. No excuses, just sorry.

Matt Lacey   July 16, 2015 at 8:15am

No worries, Bruce! I had Dawn play spotter. The North course actually isn't that bad. Most of the rough was very findable. I needed her on the South, but we never had to look for anything very long.

Matt Lacey   July 16, 2015 at 8:16am

Playing both courses in one day was pretty rough though. I ended the final hole with calf cramps in both legs, then woke up Sunday with a pinched nerve in my back. Getting old sucks!

By the way, the cement pads at Meyer Broadway were awesome! 12 feet long - that's doing it right!

Thanks Dave, Larry, and everyone else for putting in the work! I can't wait to get out there :-)

Bruce Brakel   July 16, 2015 at 3:17pm

Speaking of announcements, you should announce something like "People who printed the course and pool schedule off the internet should know that the official schedule is the one in the player pack. The schedule you printed off the internet may have been changed."
