About this tournament
C$3,000 added cash

We welcome all players to the 2020 Ontario Provincial Disc Golf Championships. We’ll start by getting the elephant out of the room; we’ve all been through, perhaps, the most non-typical year of our lives, and as a result we’ve been unable to run a series of tour qualifiers within the province. You will NOT be required to qualify for the Ontario Championships this year, ALL players are welcome to register, regardless of skill level and province (or country) of origin. The event will be run as a PDGA A-Tier for pros and B-tier for amateurs and includes $3000 added to the Professional payouts, as well as great player’s packs and a merch-out for the top 45% of the amateur division. The event will take place in Bourget, Ontario at the Ettyville SuperSpin Disc Golf courses*. SuperSpin owner and tournament director John Pytel has been hard at work carving out the final 9 holes necessary to convert his 27-hole facility into two distinct 18-hole courses in order to host the Championships. We’re more than excited to unveil the new layout this August while players visit to practice before the event. As is the case with private facilities, John has graciously offered up his property for catered camping (for a fee) over the course of Championship weekend. This option will be available during your registration checkout process. You might also note that, at present, we’re unable to formally register PDGA events in Ontario. We are scheduled as a PDGA A-tier for pros and B-Tier for amateurs, and while we’ll proceed with registration as an unsanctioned event, have the utmost confidence that within the coming few weeks, Ontario will return to being certified for PDGA sanctioning and we’ll resume our status. With all that being said, we will be enforcing a strict set of guidelines to promote social distancing during the event and prevent potential transfer from shared surfaces. The Championships will operate through tee times, with 2 rounds being played Saturday and 1 round Sunday for AM divisions and 2 rounds for Open Divisions. This provides a daylight contingency for Saturday, Amateurs to finish early for pack, travel, and Open spectating. There will be independent award ceremonies presented by division following the completion of your corresponding last card. A final point of interest includes that all players must be ODSA members by the event ($15) and Open players need to be PDGA current to register.
