The fourth leg of the 2022 North Woods Tour, we at the Wood Buffalo Disc Golf Association are very pleased to present the 3rd annual Oilsands Open in Fort McMurray!

This 2 day event will take place entirely at RotaryLinks Golf Course this year. Golf carts are provided both days and included in your registration cost as well as an Oilsands Open III collectors disc available as an adder. Both days will have just 1 round each to allow people travel time to and from Ft Mac. This also allows the option of playing some of the other awesome courses Ft Mac has to offer outside of the C Tier sanctioned rounds on Aug 27/28.

Travelling Guests:
The Saturday check-in is 1:30 pm and tee times will start at 2 pm allowing for same day travel for people who are looking to minimize travel costs. We are also partnered with local hotels (Fort McMurray Hotel Group and Pomeroy) to get athletes the best cost on hotel rooms, if interested. Competitors are welcome to join us for dinner at Brewhouse after the Saturday round, where discounts will be provided as well as some free drinks, followed by an optional glow/light up round at Lions Park.

Sunday tee times will begin at 9 am, players meeting at 8:45 am. Check https://www.pdga.com/score (access code OO2022) for your tee times and we recommend that you check in before 8:30 am so that we can assign your golf carts for each card. Drinks and food are available on course during your rounds from cart services and food can be purchased from the ProShop after your round as well. We will hold a CTP after everyone’s round in case no one has smashed an ace during game play. A short break will be taken for people to get food, raffle tickets and settle any tie breakers if required. Raffle prizes and awards will then be given out at the tournament tent outside the ProShop.

Depending on construction and RMWB approval, the new StoneCreek course will be available for casual play outside of the sanctioned rounds. We would be happy to host flip doubles matches on the Friday evening and Sunday afternoon for folks that are available to join.
