About this tournament
Welcome back for the Oil Valley Open 2023! We are excited to announce that this year's event will be the 3rd event of the Western PA Series!
This event will be a PDGA sanctioned C-tier with 2 rounds of 18 holes at Hasson Park in Oil City, PA! We are excited to have partnered with Camber Disc Golf Company to sponsor this series and this event. We also have partnered with Bodien's Hot Dogs and will have them on hand for breakfast and lunch!
Be sure to check out CamberDiscGolf.com for anything disc golf related you may need before the event. Also, check out Bodien's Hot Dogs on Facebook for their menu.

Layout for the event will be announced and set a couple weeks before the event. Barring weather issues we intend to paint circles for each basket and mark non-pavement OB lines with paint.
Am Players Pack:
OVDGS stamped disc and a voucher for Bodiens Hot Dogs toward lunch or breakfast (Reach out if you have dietary restrictions that would not be met by Bodien's, and we will work out an alternative player pack option).
Am payouts will be in person at the pavilion with Camber by the practice basket immediately after scores are finalized and winners are announced. Pro payouts will be through PayPal after the event finalization.
Bid Fee Breakdown:
Pass Through Fees
$2.00 PDGA Player Fee
$5.00 Park Reservation, Sanctioning and Event Equipment
$3.00 Series Purse Fee
Ace Pot
100% payout of ace pot for an ace. CTP throw-off for 50% of the pot if no ace hit. Remaining 50% goes to the club to improve next event quality.
The Western PA Series will consist of several events over the course of 2023. Anyone who enters one of the events this season will be entered to win their divisions WPAS Trophy at the final event of the season, Western PA Series Finale. At each event, we will register you as a competitor for the series and allot you 2 points for participating in the event. We will track the number of individuals you beat at each event (ex: if you finish 4th out of 12 players, you will receive 8 points plus 2 points for that event). Each player's best 4 event finishes + the WPAS Finale finish will count towards their point total. The WPAS Finale will count as DOUBLE POINTS. At the end of the season, per division, the individual with the most folks defeated will be crowned winner with a WPAS Division Championship Trophy and additional payout collected from the events prior. NOTE: If you play multiple divisions, either playing both days or changing divisions between events, we will track both, but you will only be eligible to win a single division at the end of the season (whichever is the more advanced of the two)
