About this tournament

The Oakland City Championship returns to the massive Hills and Bay courses at Lake Chabot in Oakland this March!

2 great days of disc golf with three rounds total on the Bay and Hill courses at the gorgeous Lake Chabot Golf Course. 2 rounds Saturday, 1 round Sunday. No final 9. Carts used to get out to your starting hole for holes 6 - 18 on both courses. Practice rounds available Thursday and Friday afternoon before the tournament. There will be a raffle, lunch available for players, and a ton of fun all weekend long!

Players Pack for PRO and AM divisions will include an Innova Custom Disc with the 2023 Oakland City Championship Logo on it!

BBQ Lunch (vegetarian options available!) is provided with your registration fees, you can opt out of the lunch for a $15 discount during registration, if you like.

~Registration Schedule~
Monday 1/23/23: Early Registration for Women's Divisions, Highly Rated Pros, and Tee Sign Sponsorships (Tee Sign Sponsorships will be $150)
Friday 2/3/23: Open Registration

~Transparency in Player Cost~
As per PDGA guidelines we are publishing the pass through fees from your registration, and where the money goes to.

The entry fee for the tournament is $155 per person.
Of that $155:
$15 is an optional BBQ lunch you can opt out of for a discount
$84 is green fees for the course
$3 is PDGA Fees
$3 is TD Fees
$12 is Players Packs (this is a passthrough fee for AMs only)
The rest of the entry fee will be going towards payouts for Pros and Script for AMs

We are working on sponsorship currently. Please reach out the TDs if you are interested in a sponsorship opportunity. We will have well over the required $750 in added cash, thanks to our sponsors.

~Making Space for Women~
Women will have access to early registration starting on Monday January 23rd, 2023

~Use of Limited Exceptions~
Our team will ensure that the use of limited exceptions (hole sponsorships & volunteers) meet the criteria and intent established by 1.02 in the PDGA competition manual. The number of players gaining entry into the event using these exceptions will not exceed 33% of the field or 50% of any given division.

To make sure we abide by PDGA guidelines on early registration, caps are currently set to 1/2 of the total for some divisions and will expand after the early registration period.

All players must be current PDGA members for 2023.

Refund policy

East Bay Disc Golf Club is responsible for all refunds/cancellations.
50% of entry fees refunded after 3/10/23. No refunds after 3/23/23.
