~OTB Open - Amateur~
We’re excited to be hosting Amateurs again in 2022! The OTB Open presented by MVP Disc Sports - Amateur will feature competition over 3 days and a large amateur-only playing field on the same course as the Pros. We’ve got a new course in development (same property) and again will be supported by our amazing title sponsor, Only The Best Discs. In addition, we’re thrilled that our new presenting sponsor, MVP Disc Sports will be helping us pack those players packs full of great discs.

~Making Space for Women~
While we will not be a Woman’s Global Event in 2022, we are going to continue prioritizing the participation and experience of women. For example, women will have exclusive access to early registration starting on Tuesday February 8th until Friday February 18th @ 6pm PT. No caps during this period.

~True Amateur Event~
This event will meet all criteria for a “true amateur” event and as such will be trophy-only. While there will be no traditional scrip payouts, the players’ pack items will be of significant value. In addition, the winners of the MA1 and FA1 divisions will receive free entry into the DGPT event to be held the following weekend!

Redesigned Course and Event Layout
In 2022, we’ll be taking over the entire Swenson Golf Course property for both events. Leonard Muise of Whirlwind Disc Golf has been very busy designing a completely new course to take advantage of the extra space. The course will feature multiple layouts to ensure all divisions are challenged based on their skill level. MA1 and FA1 will play the DGPT MPO and FPO layouts, respectively. Due to the constraints of our agreement with the course, players should note that these layouts may not be available for practice prior to the event.

~Hole Sponsorships Available~
For people who would like to support this event, we will be offering a maximum of 37 spots during an early registration period. The cost is $100 over the standard entry fee(s). Each division has a limited number of sponsor spots available. Should a division’s allocated slots be filled while other division’s spots remain available, please reach out to us and we will grant (potential) leftover sponsor spots in the order that requests arrive.

~Reserved Spots for Volunteers~
We will be reserving 20 spots for volunteers who contribute significant time and effort into helping us ensure the success of these events. We'll publish more information soon.

~Use of Limited Exceptions~
Our team will ensure that the use of limited exceptions (hole sponsorships & volunteers) meet the criteria and intent established by 1.02 in the PDGA competition manual. The number of players gaining entry into the event using these exceptions will not exceed 33% of the field or 50% of any given division.
