About this tournament
10th Annual Night Moose Open
Who wants to take home the Cup this year?
It has been a tradition for 10 years running and its sure to be another classic. Team Night Moose has been running events and leagues in Metro Detroit and Southeastern Michigan for a decade. This is a club tournament by INVITATION ONLY. If you have played in the event in previous and recent years you are able to register. For any other players the only way to participate in the event is to be an active club member or frequently active player in Thursday Moose league @Moose Meadows or a top 3 finisher in the Monday Moose league @Seitz in Riverview, MI.
Format
As in the years past this is a random draw doubles(best shot) style tournament where only your individual score matters. The first round will be 24 holes at Willow Metropark where groups will be randomly generated and you will flip for your partner before the round to decide who will be your partner for the first 12 holes and after you have completed 12 holes of play you will flip again in your group to determine who your partner will be for the next 12 holes. The same players are not permitted to be partners for all 24 holes. The same format will take place at Moose Meadows and we will play 20 holes. After groups are randomly generated you will flip for your partner for the first 10 holes and the second 10 holes. The best single player scores at the end of the day will determine the winner.
Field Events
Friday, October 25th
We will be bringing back the glow round on Friday evening @Moose Meadows with the tee time being at 6:30. Specific prizes for the winner(s) and format will be decided based on the amount of players. Small players party after on site.
Saturday, October 26th
Long drive competition will take place from 12-1:30 @Barth Elementary school located 1 block from Moose Meadows. Each player will get 5 drives with the longest drive after all players have competed taking the prizes. $1 for each additional throw that will go to the club.
Putting competition will take place all day on Saturday @Moose Meadows. You are only able to participate in this event on Saturday and the finals will be held during lunch in between rounds on Sunday where the top 2 players will compete head to head. Each player gets 1 round free and is able to play in 1 additional round for $5 that will go to the club.
Players Packs
Each player will get a custom stamped Night Moose disc, team koozie and a custom Night Moose snapback hat. More then likely there will be other small items as part of your players pack as well.
