We do not anticipate having to postpone or cancel the tournament. The smoke would have to be extremely bad Saturday morning for either of those to happen. It all just depends on which way the wind is blowing. The mornings tend to be clearer; the late afternoon and evenings get worse. With the tournament being just one round a day, we hope to be done before the smoke gets worse later in the day.

Unfortunately, you missed the cut-off time to receive a refund. The posted refund policy is as follows: "South Tahoe Disc Golf Association is responsible for all refunds/cancellations. Any cancellations after 9/1/2022 at 6pm will receive a $70 refund. There will be NO refunds for cancellations after 9/9/2022 at 6pm". Hopefully you will still be able to make it to the tournament. If not, you can have someone pick up your players package for you if you like.

Bijou DGC will bet set-up in the first-round positions for the Sierra Tahoe Series Finale on Saturday, September 10th. The Lady of the Lake, a Women's Only event is being held at Bijou on Saturday. The course will be set after their second round.

Yes, unfortunately there are only 5 spots available for MA2. There are a total of 90 spots available, 45 Pro spots and 45 Amateur spots. There are 8 amateur divisions. All of them have only 5 spots available except MA1 which has 10 spots available.

Lol! I don’t have the answer but this whole thing is getting ridiculous. Being that I’m not putting in the work I really have no leg to stand on but something needs to change. 5 was a division back in the early 2000’s when this sport wasn’t what it is now which is the problem. How do we solve this?

I guess I’ll ask this? Why is it that we save spots for divisions that aren’t waiting by their computer to signup to make sure they get in? It should be first come, first served. If anyone has paid attention there are certain divisions that don’t fill right away and others that fill immediately. Shouldn’t we allow the divisions that fill immediately to take precedent over the others as the demand is obviously there? Maybe it’s about equity? Wouldn’t shock me. That’s my two cents. What do I know? I do know this, when concert tickets go on sale they don’t hold spots for certain fans in case they find the time to buy some tickets. Just sayin. With that ⬆️ being said I do appreciate all that the TD’s and volunteers do for our sport. I’m also aware that the governing body dictates a lot of how things work. Maybe that’s where the change needs to come?

Spots should be held for those playing every sts event, that will be in the running for a series win. I've said that for about 10 years. Not blaming you the club of sts directors, you know that Scott. It's just frustrating. Much love, and hope Tullin and I get in. I've gotten lucky in the past.

If you don't like it move to open, you may not win every event you enter like you're accustom to but at least you can play the tournaments if that is your desire. The only way to get more players is to have tee times and I personally think that really takes away from the tournament culture. It's also a pita to run a tee time tournament as some of your recently found out...

Maybe I’ll just start playing in the women’s divisions as I hear that’s allowed these days. I’d get in every time that way. It is what it is. Just venting man as it seems absurd to me how it currently stands.

I see it all of the time when other divisions fill. Luckily we followed the same structure as so many other tournaments and offered a sponsorship as a way to sign up early. It gets that person a guaranteed entry and increases payouts for everyone. Looking forward to seeing your this weekend.
