After talking to the Park today it is with sadness that I have to announce that the Finale is at the moment cancelled! They said no! I am truly sorry but as a club we must do what the park says. I honestly hope this passes by soon and we are able to re schedule! I would rather be the butthead that played it safe than the butthole that exposed everyone, but again the parks dept. has said no way!!!
So just a few things as we try to go forward with the Finale. I will have a definitive word from The Park on Monday and will update the status Monday evening so please check back Tuesday. Due to a statement from the PDGA and to meet safety guidelines, we will not be doing a food exchange and lunch. I would suggest you bring the food you need for yourself this day. I really wanted to have a great chili cookoff and nice lunch. If it moves forward we will try to gather as a group for just a short amount of time. It is an outdoor activity so hope we will be okay. Again we plan to hold this if the park allows it!
We are looking forward to hosting the final event of the Frozen Fingers Series this year! After receiving 2 grants from these events it will be an honor.
Entry fee is $20 per player. $10 goes towards event payout, $8 towards "Charity" (NEODGA project fund), $1 towards series payout, $1 to host club. I will update schedule and divisions very soon! Stay tuned. We are looking for folks who would like to donate to a Pot Luck Feast. We will also be having a chili cookoff for a disc and towel. please comment if you would like in on that! entry can be done in comments or online! Still looking for food!
