About this tournament

Friday night there will be a Random draw doubles @ 5:00pm For those of you who plan to be in Girdwood the night before the tournament.
ONLINE PLAYERS MEETING (There will be no physical meeting): We will be playing a 21 hole layout. The three added holes are 6-B , 9-B and 19. The pdga live scoring is the preferred method for scoring, the hole layouts and card assignments have been updated on PDGA :

Due to Covid-19 precautions being taken, some tournament proceedings will be different, and there will be some recommended safety practices for participants and attendees found listed below.

In regard to social distancing, all prizes and payouts will be handled online after tournament results are finalized. All player packs and prizes will be shipped directly to addresses provided upon registration by participants. All Cash payouts will be distributed through PayPal directly to email address provided upon registration by participant. We will be utilizing the PDGA live digital score cards as the official scoring system. The PDGA live website can be found by typing PDGA digital scoring into a web browser search. from there the access code for the event scoring is smokehouse (all lowercase). We will also provide physical score cards for those who cannot use the PDGA live digital scoring. A photo of the physical score cards then needs to be texted to the tournament director / staff at (907-382-0253) after each round. Those scores will be entered into the official scoring system by the TD and or staff. Hole assignments will be predetermined and available by tournament check in they will be posted to the tournament page online. Any other questions can be answered at the check-in. Recommended Practices for Safety During Covid-19:
• High-risk population encouraged to not attend.
• Anyone exhibiting symptoms are strongly encouraged to not attend.
• Face coverings are strongly encouraged for all employees.
• It is strongly encouraged that spectators wear cloth face coverings.
• Participants should be encouraged to wear cloth face coverings at all times, including while playing disc golf.
• Tee boxes will be marked with standing areas that are 10 feet apart
• Equipment will not be shared or touched by other participants
Recommended Scoring Method is PDGA live scoring:
A. All rules set forth in the Official Rules of Disc Golf Rule 808 Scoring are in full effect and must be followed without exception.
1. For the purposes of digital scoring, usage of the terms “turn in” and “return” shall mean “submit”
B. All players must be informed that digital scoring is both official and authoritative. If any incorrect score is submitted and requires correction after the player has confirmed and submitted it, a two-throw penalty will be assessed in accordance with rule 808 G.2.
C. An alternative scoring method must be made available in the event of technical issues.
D. Digital scoring must not be forced upon players.
1. Any player or group may request, and the tournament director must provide, an alternative method of scoring for the player or group to use upon request.
2. If the player chooses to use an alternative method of scoring, event staff must verify the hole scores and total after submission. ( if so send picture of physical score card to the TD via. 907-382-0253 then to be entered into PDGA live scoring,
E. Mobile devices should not be shared amongst players.
1. Players in a group may agree on a single player to keep score for the entire round.
F. Discrepancies, provisional scores, or warnings for rules infractions must be recorded for each hole in accordance with rules 808 C and 808 E.
1. Any time a provisional set of throws is recorded, the total score for the affected player should not be automatically submitted without a review and resolution by the event director.
G. Each player must review and positively confirm their scores at the end of the round before the total score is submitted.
