About this tournament
Updated:August 5th
Addison asked us to limit us to no more than 100 people in total so we are not allowing caddies or spectators for this event.
Due to the long grass in the field, and increased looking time, Hole 16 will not be played. After 15 you will now continue to Hole 22 (Which we are now playing) completely eliminating the field holes 16-21.
But wait, there's more!!! Awaiting a confirmation we maybe able to play Hole 24 from the long pad. This will likely be a game time decision.
With COVID-19 this tournament will be a little different. There will no players meeting, I will post a google document link to list what I would cover in the meeting. The basket raffle will be online payment only. Yes, you can still pay day of if you wish.
We encourage everyone to use online scoring to make everyone's life much easier. I will post more on this later. We'll do a special raffle for everyone that does online scoring.
It is listed on the PDGA site as a C/B, but rest assured it is a B tier for all with the appropriate money added. I have already e-mailed asking them to make the change.
Cash payouts will be sent via PayPal. Merchandise payouts, unfortunately, will be pre selected due to the COVID-19. We will have a good mix of Discraft in there.

Metro Detroit Championship Series Finals
Berths will only be awarded to divisions that have at least THREE people.
2 Rounds of 18.
First PAID 45 get a additional disc in their players pack.
This is a Pro/AM B Tier PDGA event.
We will be adding $750 + to the Pro divisions.
Layouts:
Open and AM1 - Long/Long
MA40+, AM2 - Long/Short
ALL others - Short/Short
Based on the registered players, we will do our best to make all of the groups divisional. In some cases, we may have to mix divisions within groups. We will only do this when divisions have odd numbers.
To help address the sandbagging issues at the Michigan State Championships, a motion was made and the Motion was passed:
a. For the Am2/Am3 (including the women) divisions in Featured Events, if there is a player that takes 1st or 2nd place and that player has never had a PDGA membership the Featured Event will deduct from that player’s payouts $35 to cover the cost of buying them a PDGA membership.
b. The remaining $10 was initially paid by the player at entry.
c. The last missing $5 is because the MDGO is an Affiliate Club.
d. Non-current PDGA members do not apply.
e. The MDGO will reimburse $17 to the FE to help cover any loss.
f. It is HEAVILY stressed that this needs to be advertised so the player base is aware of this prior to the event.
This was passed to address the issue of players not having player ratings. Even if they are not current, the TD does get a file from the PDGA that includes the player's rating.
