We could have 9 divisions at the MCO with the Open, Open Master, Open Women, AM Master, AM Women, AM1, AM2, and AM3 included. We have 18 Berths to distribute. There will be a minimum of 1 Berth per division with the busier divisions getting awarded more.

John, this is an idea. Do the GVM layout from this year but just include 20. So it would be play up to 14, skip 15-16. Then start playing again at 17 and play to 19 then head directly to 21 after 19. Just idea, I think this was the layout you guys did last year at MCO

Hey, we still do that at the CCR Open. For a single day event, maybe do it during the lunch break. Most players have time to kill anyway.

I just give all the Open players envelopes with their cash as soon as I have the fields scores done. They don't want to wait around and quite frankly the less people waiting around for me, the better. Not had any complaints (that I know of).

Offer the payouts as soon as possible to all players. Do the rafffle after the payouts. No fanfaire for 4th place or lower. Just announce the top 3 cashing players per division. Id love to play tourneys that dont take 10 hrs in one day to participate in. Just a few suggestions. Thanks for all you do guys!!!!

Matt, typically I offer to hold back the trophy and such for the Open player that has until awards. Nobody has taken me up on that so far. I used to make them wait but they seeming wore me down on that issue and made that compromise.

Maybe it is time for the people who play for cash actually act like a Pro and help make a difference for everyone.

Paying out cash before raffles would always get me to spend money. There hasn't been a single tournament that I haven't bought a tourney disc or donated something back to the club running the event.

We thought about providing real sweet players packs and only provide payouts to the top finishers. Some big events have done this for years and have had nothing but good results. This does not appeal to everyone though. Bowling Green and Worlds do this for people too where they use online stores for players to redeem their winnings. I wouldn't say it is impossible..

My opinion only here... Unless someone speaks to the td prior to the first round, no one Should get paid early. Everyone has places to be. I like marks idea of announcing the top 5 only.

with the A.M's the thing I notice that seems unfair is that when calling out winners from each division it goes from the bottom of the payout scale to the first place position so while you wait the people who finished lower get first dibs on the merch table and the Winner takes the leftovers ! Just my 2 pennies.

Once upon a time people respected one another and hung out until the winners were announced so everyone could applaud their good play and THEN the prizes were dispersed. That was then, this is now. We have implemented many changes through the years and will continue to do so.

We just need to continue to adjust to the growth of the sport. The Team Stony Open is a two day one round a day tourney coming up Aug 24 and 25. I'm no TD, nor would I ever have the patience for it, but I feel tourneys should start at 8am. With most events being pre reg only nowadays, I don't see much reason to not get there and go. I have always been an early bird. But I would love to finish around 5 instead of 8.

One round a day events are nice Jeff but as a TD, I for one do not wish to give up an entire weekend to watch others play. I like to throw, albeit not that well, myself, or spend time with my family, or attempt to prepare for work, or do things around my house that needs done, etc...

the pro payouts are determined as soon as everyone has reged put money in envelopes have someone else if the td doesnt want to do it give someone else the responsibillity and people who want to leave early hand them the envelope doesnt sound that hard.
