Disc Golfers Fighting Food Insecurity

Since 1996, disc golfers haves hosted Ice Bowl tournaments to raise funds and food for their communities, bringing together players of all skill levels who share a passion for the sport and a commitment to giving back.

These events take place during astronomical winter, with the winter solstice marking the start of Ice Bowl season each year. Facing the extreme elements fosters a unique atmosphere where camaraderie and charity combine.

Ice Bowls have become a celebration of community spirit, focusing on supporting food security initiatives. As each year passes, the collective impact of these tournaments grows, showcasing the generosity and determination of disc golfers everywhere to make a difference.

The Moorhead Ice Bowl Details

-Singles competition
-One round of 18 holes
-Flex Start Format
-3 people to a card minimum
-$2 Per Mulligan that can be used at any lie.
You may also earn Mulligans by canned food donation. 2 Canned food goods=1 Mulligan. Maximum of 12 Mulligans Per Person

Mulligan shots count towards the ace pot also as long as they are legit from tee to basket!

You must declare to your card mates that you are taking a mulligan before one is thrown.


Trophy prizes for 1st place in each division. 2nd and 3rd place trophies will be provided based on division size.

Divisions Must have atleast 3 people in it to Qualify for a first place trophy! Trophies will be mailed out after the event in order to allow for day of sign ups to potentially reach that 3 person per division quota.

$25 Dollar Entry Fee
$5 per entry will go to Prize Payouts for top 30% per division
$20 per entry will go to the beneficiary to fight hunger
