Sent a DM to you but haven’t heard back. Any chance you can get one more team in for AM3?

Just looked around and I don't see anything from you. Yes. I'll open it up again. Please sign up here on DGS.

Chris Tipton   July 7 at 4:33am

Done! Thanks so much!

Could my buddy and I sign up for MPO? I just missed the registration window

Yep. I opened it back up for you.

Great! Thanks!

How does the point scale work if a team ends up being the only team in their division? Is there a spreadsheet that shows how points are determined?

Winner gets 100 + 0.1*(number of teams). So if there were no other teams you'd get 100.1 points.

Do you know what the layout is going to be? Same as last weekend’s layout of alternating shorts/longs, or something else?

Since it is best shot, we will be going long tees both rounds.

Daniel Fleming   June 19 at 6:01pm

Sounds good. Thanks!

Trevor my son and I are thinking about entering and he is 12. Does a child get -2?

Calin Jacobs    June 19 at 12:05am

Is there no mixed division?

Trevor Boehne   June 19 at 3:28pm

MDS has never had a mixed division, to my knowledge. That said, this year we instituted a new rule to encourage mixed (or all women) teams. Each woman on a team gets a two stroke handicap per round. So if it was a mixed team you'd get two strokes each round (total of four) off your score at the ... more

Question about MDS as a whole, for series end payouts do they take your top 5 scores from the whole series? Or do all the points you accumulate count?

Trevor Boehne   June 18 at 10:36pm

Top 5. Otherwise series like these just turn into "whoever plays the most wins". We chose top 5 as a sweet spot.

Trevor Boehne   June 18 at 10:38pm

Once you've played 5 then the object becomes getting a high enough finish to replace your lowest. Still encourages playing more! But typically, if you've played 5 events you're already in a good position.

Sounds good! Thank you!
