Mid-Michigan Women's Global Event

We had 2 Champions at our event, Leslie Charles in Advanced Legends, and Sue Stephens in Open Masters. Congrats you two!! And congrats to everyone else who played.

Next year I would like to make our local WGE more like a tournament. It was sprung on us all only a few months before it happened and I already had most of my time and merch in line for DGGW. Now that I am pretty sure this will be an annual event, we can start planning for next year.

Remember, I am a part of the PDGA Women's Committee, so any concerns on the WGE as a WHOLE that you would like me to bring to the meetings, please let me know. I will be discussing the players pack situations so don't bring that the table cuz I already know:) Thanks! Hope I see you all next month at DGGW!

I would like to thank Christina Crosby for so generously donating towels to the event for the ladies who needed them in the rain. That was a very very kind thing to do to help them. Thank you.

The results on pdga.com are UNOFFICIAL results. They are currently working on a few system glitches but are working as hard as they can to fix this and get the official results up asap. :) Can't wait to do this again!

Hey girls! Did anyone take any photos at the Global Event Saturday? I already saw Sherry's pics and took a couple of hers, but Val is putting together a slide show and was looking for photos. I know it's a long shot since it was raining all day, but if you have some, let me know! Thanks!

Since only the first 500 players are getting WGE player packs, yet they announced all who signed up by the 4th would get one, I have 5 players packs for the 5 on my registration list who signed up by the deadline, but were labeled after 500. You 5 will receive an Innova Mamba and a towel donated by Trip C's.

This truely IS going to be amazing. 576 registrants by May 4th (the online cut off date). I know we already have 4-6 more who will be paying the day of.

Don't forget to bring lunches! I will be bringing a loaf of bread and lunchmeat so if anyone needs a sandwich, I'll have a little extra.

A few reminders:
1. Bring a lunch. It' a long way to food. There will be an hour lunch break in between rounds, but that is enough time to go get lunch, and eat it on your way back.
2. EVERYONE will be playing to a short basket on hole 9. This is so all the Ams get their ratings.
3. I'm so overwhelmed at the turnout of this event. A couple days ago, we were at 479 registered players. I guarantee it will be over 500.....that is awesome!!!! The Rec and Intermediate fields are HU ... more
