This tournament is to celebrate the Michigan Disc Golf Hall of Fame and the new members to be inducted. Please check back here for current updates on information.

All current members and inductees of the Michigan Disc Golf Hall of Fame are allowed to compete for free. There is also a Hall of Fame members only division that competes in a 1 round competition (during second round of the tournament) for a trophy only. Hall of Fame members that wish to compete, please contact us (Larry LaBond) for free registration.

Player check in will happen Friday, 5-8pm, at the Delta by Marriott/Tournament Central and complete tournament information will be passed out as well as player's packages. Players that are unable to check in on Friday can have others to do so for them or must inform the tournament that they will check in on Saturday. All players are subject to the information passed out at check in and are responsible for getting their player's package.

Saturday night (May 22) at 7pm will be the Induction Ceremony for the new Hall of Fame members at the host hotel, Delta by Marriott. There is a special rate for dinner as well as a mini golf contest and the Tower of Doom contest. Don't miss out on seeing some of Michigan's leaders in disc golf get their recognition and some love for what they have accomplished!

We will have 6 pools of players and will be using 6 courses in the Kalamazoo Area. The current courses to be used are (this is subject to change):

Meyer Broadway North - MBN (park fee)

PLAYER’S MEETING!!

Welcome to the 2021 Michigan Disc Golf Hall of Fame Classic! We are excited to be hosting this event, but we also have to deal with the circumstances of running this event during a continuing pandemic. So, we hope that everyone understands the unique situation and will understand and cooperate with any inconveniences and requests/rules that we may have of you while we try and put on this tournament and the Hall of Fame induction ceremony. This letter is your player’s meeting and you are responsible for the content contained in this letter.

First thing is we would like to thank our presenting sponsor Redbud Roots! We hope that everyone 21 years of age and up, will take the time to visit their location while in town. As incentive for you to do so, they are hosting a welcome night at their facility on Friday night. They will be having a food truck, a putting side game for prizes, the “Tower of Doom” disc golf game for prizes, and specials on their products! To top it off, just for visiting them all players will get an additional player’s package (PP) disc (if you are not over 21, just let us know at tournament central to get your additional PP disc.). You can stop by anytime during the weekend to get the extra PP disc! Redbud Roots is located at:

Scoring
We will be utilizing electronic scoring for all courses and for standings. It only takes 1 person on the scorecard to be able to keep score for the group electronically. If your group is unable to keep score this way, please contact the course director at your course for a paper scorecard (which is then to be turned into that course director immediately after the round). The access code for players to log into the live scoring is: %HOF2021

1. Open your browser and go to pdga.com/score
2. Enter the access code:
3. Search for and select yourself to login.
4. Select the round.
5. Add other players as necessary.
6. Start keeping score.
7. At the end of the round each player must review, confirm, and digitally sign-off on their scores by individually entering their name or PDGA number.
We will have 6 pools of players and will be using 6 courses in the Kalamazoo Area. The courses to be used are:


Induction ceremony
The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be at the Delta Hotels by Marriot (Tournament Central). It will be hosted out back in their patio/parking area. This is a tricky event to host because of Covid and we do ask that you cooperate with any request made of you by either tournament or hotel staff. We ask that everyone wear a mask and maintain social distancing. If we do have too much crowding, people may be asked to leave. This is not knowing how many people are to attend and keeping people in different areas on the hotel’s property. It’s a complicated situation and we just ask you to cooperate with anything asked of you. The ceremony is slated to start at 6:30pm and we are excited to induct the 2021 class of HoF members: Jav Kowalski #3178, Gunar Nollendorfs #3254, Steve Peck #5817, and David Feldberg #12626!!
We will also be having a mini golf contest at the hotel and another putting contest. Those will be on the north side of the hotel, next to where tournament central is. Those will be running 6-9pm.
There will be affordable dinner options at the hotel as well as 20% off their regular menu. So, plan on grabbing food there!

We will not be having a typical awards ceremony. We will be doing the payout for all Pools at the host hotel. If you would like to collect winnings on a later date or in the case of pros, have money sent with PayPal, let us know! We are more than happy to accommodate you. We just need to know your wishes. If you don’t come to select your winnings and do not inform our staff or contact us after the event you may miss out on collecting your winnings. We will not be tracking people down for their payout. So, please either get your winnings Sunday or contact us to make other arrangements.
We have a limit on capacity for people selecting their winnings and you may have to wait to be let in. Those being let in will also depend on scoring for their pools being done as well. As you wait, please maintain all covid safe protocols and social distancing. We will get everyone taken care of as fast as we can.

Refund policy

K'Aces Disc Golf is responsible for all refunds/cancellations.

A 100% refund is available until the Pool reaches full capacity and is within two weeks of the event. After which 100% refund is dependent on filling the vacant spot. If spot does not fill, 50% of the entry fee will be forfeit.

Refunds requested within 1 week of the event starting are subject to 50% of the entry fee being forfeited if the vacant spot can be filled or if the Pool is not filled. If the Pool was full, 100% of the entry fee is forfeit if the spot does not fill. Players forfeiting their entire entry fee are entitled to their player's package but must request package and provide address to be shipped to. Players have up to a week after the event to request their player's package, otherwise the player's package becomes forfeit.

Ace Pool, 50/50, and PDGA non-member fees will be refunded, regardless of timing of refund request, unless player "No shows".

A "No show" is someone that does not inform the tournament that they will not be coming by the first round tee. "No shows" forfeit all monies, but can claim player's package. They must request package and provide shipping info. Players have up to a week after the event to request their player's package, otherwise the player's package becomes forfeit.

It is not the tournament or tournament staff's responsibility to communicate or get players their refunds or player's packages unless they are requested by the player.
