About this tournament
Michiana Match Play sponsored by Prodigy Discs
This will be a True Am, trophy only, fundraiser tournament for The Shoes That Grow (https://theshoethatgrows.org/). A part of the proceeds will go to purchasing shoes for under-privileged children in other countries. Please check out their web site (listed above) for more information.
The tournament will be stroke play against the players on your card. If you win your card, you move on to player the other card winners. Tiebreakers will be determined by the number of birdies each player has. If both players have the same number of birdies, we will look to see has the last birdie, working from their last hole and working their way back. The final tiebreaker will be a one hole playoff using the CTP if both players tie. After the second round, there will be a final 9 hole playoff between the 4 players that won both of their cards. All players will play 2 rounds, and placing beyond the top 4 will be based off of the lowest score of the first 2 rounds combined. The top 4 players will be scored by the lowest score after the 45 holes.
The player's pack will consist of 2 Prodigy discs. The first 32 player to register will receive 2 400 plastic discs, and the final 32 players to register will receive 1 400 plastic disc and 1 200 plastic disc.
There will be a $5 buy-in for the 50/50 and ace fund. $3 of that will go towards the 50/50 and $2 towards the ace fund.
You don't have to be an Advanced level player to play in this tourney. I have MA1 listed so everyone will get their sanctioning points.
(This is not affiliated with the United States Amateur Match Play Championships. This in an independent event).
