Totally understand . It's the only way to allow more players and also to not have any groups of 5 on a card.

Barry Adkins    April 16, 2021 at 7:53pm

It's great you're opening this even to more players but I was looking forward to playing both courses as I'm traveling for this event.

Joshua Smith   April 16, 2021 at 8:16pm

Hey Barry, totally understand as this was the only way to fit more players into the event. Thanks for reaching out!

Barry Adkins   April 16, 2021 at 10:47pm

How is this the only way to fit more players? Seems you could still utilize both course for each pool. Seems you could just have the pools switch courses during lunch break.

Joshua Smith   April 16, 2021 at 11:14pm

The WGE requires play to be on the same identical course and layout for both rounds. That's why Pool A is on SBM short tees to short baskets for both rounds.

The waitlist is now open. Spots from this list will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. If we get enough interested players on the waitlist we could alter the format slightly. In this scenario MPO, MP40, MA1, MA2, MA40+ would play both rounds on Orange Crush while all other divisions would still play 2 rounds on the Seth Burton Memorial Disc Golf Course. This would allow for 144 players at the event and more room for the WGE side. Love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Thanks everyone and we're looking forward to our best MDIM+Women's Global Event yet!

I'm up for anything that lets more people play

Joshua Smith   April 15, 2021 at 2:56pm

Agreed!

Joshua Smith   April 15, 2021 at 4:18pm

Event Capacity has been increased to 144 players so tell your friends! Also be sure and check out the new course/tee/basket assignments for Pool A & Pool B. Thanks!

Yes, just added a $25 tee sign sponsorship under the Registration section (non-participant.) Send any logos and/or message to be displayed on the tee sign to [email redacted] Thank you!

Format Update - due to popular demand we are putting MA2 on Orange Crush for the 2nd round. Thanks for everyone's input!

Jamie Miller    February 16, 2021 at 3:23pm

Isn't there a way to play both courses just by flipping the rounds so everyone gets a chance to play both courses im coming almost 9hrs away and want to play both top courses in my home state

Heather Bonecutter   February 16, 2021 at 3:34pm

Hi Jamie! MPO/MA1 play Orange Crush Long Tees to Red Baskets after lunch, so those two divisions will have the opportunity to play both courses.

Joshua Smith   February 16, 2021 at 3:42pm

Heather is correct, only MPO and MA1 play Orange Crush during round 2. Everyone else will play 2 identical rounds as part of the WGE guidelines which is 2 rounds on the same course with the same layout. You can read more about the WGE here, thanks! https://www.pdga.com/women/global-event

James Penrose    February 13, 2021 at 8:44pm

Hey folks, I know it says in the About section there but I just wanted to clarify - Only Advanced and Pro are playing Orange Crush? Everyone else plays SBM twice?

Joshua Smith   February 13, 2021 at 10:00pm

Hey James, yes that is correct. MPO and MA1 are the only divisions playing Orange Crush for the 2nd round. Everyone else plays SBM Short Tees to Red Baskets for both rounds. Thanks for your interest in this event!

Jamie Miller    January 20, 2021 at 4:48pm

This event is for all people noticed it was a women's global event. Never know bc I played one that you had to be paired with a female competitor just making sure.

Joshua Smith   January 20, 2021 at 8:08pm

Hey Jaime yes, anyone can play at this event. It's a standard PDGA C-Tier +WGE meaning we will be offering a special format for Women players so their divisions can compete with all other WGE's around the globe. All Women players are also exempt from the PDGA non-member fee. Thanks for your interest!
