Scores are now posted for the Youth /Teen Summer Fling and the Medina DiscTrifecta RMP

Bill Vaughn was right on with his post-tournament dream. A fun group of golfers showed up to the RMP. Friends came to play our courses and support our efforts. Eric Zeng and Chris Hinckley from Columbus showed their pretty faces. J Gary Dropcho came from PA and schooled everyone on how to throw perfect fairway shots (carding -2 for the day!). Medina peeps, Northeast Ohio friends, golfin' buds from all over the map, we can't thank you enough for making the RMP a most excellent FUNdraiser.

$813. raised for the concrete tee project! This is a great start!!

Medina Disc Golf shirts from Icandi turned out fantastic and are still available for purchase $15 (sizes limited). At the Youth/Teen Summer Fling on Saturday, we raffled off 2 PDGA memberships and welcomed Allison Sheriff and Nicholaus Engstrom as newest members. Thank you Dan Kilgore and Mark Festi for putting your winnings back into the donation box for Masi's concrete tees. The winning ticket for the Innova Hero Disc Golf bag belonged to the man with oodles of good karma, Dan "hyzer" Kilgore. Dan left the park when the drawing took place, so we'll make sure we get that to him.
There were 3 awesome playoffs this weekend. At the Saturday Youth Tournament, Mike Chriss and Trent Stull had a three round fast putting playoff. On Sunday there were ties in Adv. and Rec divisions. Tyler Schrock. and Trent Stull (again!) had spectacular 6 hole safari playoff around the pavilion of spectators at PoolSide. But the big hit of the weekend was Leroy's pulled pork; hope everyone got some.

Sam Masi DGC is still in it's infancy. It can play pretty tough as some players were saying but, as years go by, trees will mature & other projects will evolve. Medina City Parks has helped tremendously to keep all these parks in great shape. The positive cooperation with the City and Disc Golf is one that other locations can only dream about. We can only imagine the courses getting prettier and prettier. ~ Team Jenkins~

I had the strangest dream... I was playing disc golf, but it was like 20 years ago. The Jenkins team ran it, Bill Griffit and Dan Kilgore and Tom Armbruster were there, and J Gary Dropcho, too. Old Medina ghosts like Joe Schmid and Kevin Hitch. Columbus phantoms like Chris Hinkley (but the color was all off on him) and Eric Zeng (but in my dream his Jester hat morphed down into a beard). And a handful of newer players, with PDGA #s over 20,000! It must have been a dream because the Punderson guys were there, I got lost on the way to the next hole, and I wound up mostly naked. I must have ate some bad mushrooms to be seeing all of those fun-guys!

Come join us for a Fun filled weekend. Sign your kids up for the Youth / Teen Summer Fling Saturday July 9, 2016 Funds raised from this event go to Medina SPCA, EDGE, Ohio Hall of Fame, and 2 PDGA memberships. And then come back the next day Sunday July 10, 2016 and play the RMP Medina Disc Trifecta. Partial funds raised will go towards concrete tees for Sam Masi Disc Golf Park. Who will be our 2016 King & Queen of the Medina disc golf courses? We will have the drawing for the Innova Hero Backpack Disc Golf bag after this event.
