McCurdy Mondays Year End
About this tournament
This is the year end event for the McCurdy Mondays Doubles league, all are welcome.
The event format will be:
One round of random draw doubles.
and
An Ace Race that will take place on a shortened version of holes 1-8 with several extra baskets added to make an 11+ hole course that we will run through at least twice.
Ace Race Format: Each player will throw 2 shots from the tee on every hole each round (Minimum of 2 rounds). Players will keep score by recording a running tally of points earned throughout the entire Ace Race (score does not need to be kept on a hole-by-hole basis, I only require the total points scored for each individual player for the entirety of the Ace Race).
Ace Race scoring: Each Ace will be awarded 5 points and each metal hit (basket and above) will be awarded 1 point.
Ace Race payout formula: After the Ace Race we will divide the Ace Pool "X" by the total points scored "Y" to give us a dollar value per point "Z" (X/Y=Z) and pay each person for their individual point total. (Example: $200 Ace Pool divided by 20 total points would mean that each point would be worth $10. A player scoring 6 points would be paid $60.)
Payout breakdown:
$10 goes to doubles round payouts
$5 split into 5 cash CTPs
$5 to Ace Race (Any Aces during the doubles round will payout 75% of the current $197 Ace Pool, whatever is left in the Ace Pool after the doubles round will be combined with the $5 per entrant and paid out during the Ace Race)
