The following was emailed to all registrants:
Welcome to the 2024 Centennial Chain Crash presented by GRIP EQUIPMENT!
PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE EMAIL. WE ARE NOT HAVING AN OFFICIAL PLAYER MEETING…THIS EMAIL IS YOUR PLAYER MEETING.
If you are receiving this email because you used your email when signing up another player for the event, please forward this info to that player.
THANK YOU SPONSORS:
HUGE THANK YOU to Grip Equipment for their title sponsorship. They have sponsored every Centennial Chain Crash since it started in 2014. They. Are. Awesome. Their support means a lot to me and Maverick DG. I personally carry a Grip Bag and think you should too.
DIVISIONS / DATES:
Everyone is playing two rounds on Saturday, November 16th on a shotgun start. Round one hole assignments will be posted sometime this evening at the PDGA event page. HOWEVER - Please recheck your hole assignments after you check in to make sure they did not change.
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/76939
Round two shotgun start time and hole assignments will be posted at the same link.
>> As a reminder - you still need to check in with the Course Director from 8:15 - 8:50 Saturday morning.
LATE WITHDRAWAL / NO-SHOW
At this point, it is too late to receive a refund. However, if you notify me at 785-764-2229 prior to tee time, you will still receive your player pack. To cancel, text or call your name and division, with comment you are canceling to 785-764-2229.
PARKING -
Please use the course parking lots either at the east shelter by playground or the west lot near the skate park.
RESTROOMS
A portable toilet has been rented and will be stationed at tournament central which is the east shelter by the playground / Biemer’s BBQ.
CHECK-IN
Check-in is from 8:15 am - 8:50 am at the east shelter near the playground and Holes 3 / 7 / 15. All players, Pro and Am, need to check in. If you don’t check in, I will presume you are a No Call, No Show and you may be scratched from the event.
SCORING
We will be using the PDGA digital scoring system. (This is not Udisc). To access it, go to pdga.com/score. Enter in the password, then your last name or PDGA number, and the card will pull up. I will have paper scorecards as a backup. You can also use udisc as a backup. However, to submit the scores, it needs to be done through the PDGA scoring system.

WATER
While there will be water coolers on the course however I fully expect they will go dry at some point. They will be refilled as soon as possible, but you need to be prepared to bring enough water for yourself. The water on the course is a back-up.
BONUS PRIZES
ROUND ONE PRIZE: If you have the Hot Round of your whole division (not your card, but the whole division) you will get a Hot Round mini. They are not much, only a mini, but the only way you can get one is by having the Hot Round, so it’s kind of cool.
ROUND TWO PRIZE: If you win your card, you win a prize from the white prize box that is called the Toy Box. Typical items are sticker sheets, can coolers, license plate frames, etc.
LUNCH BREAK / ROUND 2
We will have an approximately 1 hour lunch break after the last card is completed before starting round 2. Because of decreased daylight it will be a maximum of 1 hour.

IF YOU NEED TO WITHDRAW
If you decide for any reason that you don’t or can’t play the second round, please tell Rob, the Tournament Director. This is crucial as it will affect others on how the second round is organized.
ACE / CTP FUND
If you paid into the ace fund during registration you are included in this. If you didn’t, you can sign up when you check in if you want to. It costs $5. If neither applies, skip to next section.
Thank you for participating into the Ace Fund. With all Maverick DG events, the Ace fund is paid out as large ticket items and not as cash. This is one of the ways MavDG is ‘maverick’ and it helps to pay for tournament expenses. I determine the payout items so that what is given out is higher than what was paid in so both the winner and the tournament benefits.
PRIZES:
The prizes for the ace pool will be these GRIPeq bags. The prizes equal 165% of what was paid into the ace fund. If you want in on the ace fund but didn’t pay in, you can bring $5 (cash only) to check-in.
Travel Sports Duffel 52L - Rust color (retails $189)
Disc Golf Duffel 22L - Ocean color (retails $129)
G2 Golf Bag - Moss (retails $99)
Please note: If there is a tie for first place in your division, we may start the CTP game before your playoff is done. If you super duper rather play the CTP game than for the First Place Trophy, you can always forfeit the playoff. I would ask you though - why are you playing in a tournament if not to win the prize of First Place?

POST ROUND 2 DRINKS
For the first several years we would have a beer sponsor for the post tournament waiting period while scores were being tabulated. With the flyer theme and golf disc hot stamp, I felt like we should have some post-round drinks. The following will be available. Please limit it to one per tournament player (sorry, not caddies or chaperones) until everyone has had the opportunity to get one. The choices are:
Vernors Ginger Ale (non-alcoholic)
Mickey’s Fine Malt Liquor (for the bottle caps! IYKYK)
Coors Light
Yuengling Lager Light
Boulevard Pale Ale
Shiner Bock
Shiner Holiday Cheer
AWARDS / PAYOUTS
To decrease the amount of congregation we will not have a formal awards ceremony. I will give the award as soon as the clear winner is determined after the second round. PRO PAYOUTS can be either a check picked up the same day, a check mailed to you, or PayPal Goods and Services (winner pays fees) based on what you chose during registration. AM PAYOUTS are redeemable at Maverick DG’s Olathe store or you can receive a Gift Card code to redeem via my webstore maverickdiscgolf.com. If you choose the webstore, it will charge you sales tax and shipping.
All payout vouchers for all Maverick DG vended tournaments in 2024 expire 12/31/2024.
TROPHIES
There is a First Place trophy for all divisions with at least 2 players as of Tuesday, November 12th. Additionally there is a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for MA3.
PDGA POSTING
My goal is to have the 'official' results posted to the PDGA by Sunday evening.
THANK YOU
I want to sincerely thank you for choosing to play in Maverick Disc Golf events, and particularly the Centennial Chain Crash. If you are a first timer, I hope you enjoy it!
