About this tournament

Welcome everyone! This is the Marilla Park Disc Golf Fundraiser Tournament Event!

Sunday, August 22nd
at Marilla Park, Streator, Illinois

I will not be accepting walk in registrations at this event, so help spread the word to all your friends and family that may be interested.

This event will have a limit to 60 players maximum.

Important Tournament Information

First and foremost, this is a fundraising event, dedicated as a zero profit event (meaning I as well as other volunteers are doing this freely and completely voluntarily). The goal is to raise funds that will be donated to the City of Streator Parks Department to be utilized for future course improvements at Marilla Park, which will positively impact the quality of Marilla Park's Disc Golf Course.

The Entry fee is $45.
- $20 will be added to the Donation Pool.
- $20 to the Prize Pool.
- $3 to the Ace Pot.
- $2 to the CTP Pot.

This means if you choose to enter you will automatically have plenty of opportunities to win prizes and payouts.

Secondly, this is a unsactioned singles event with multiple divisions available, so all players can have equal opportunity to play with people around their skill level and compete fairly amongst each other.

Each division will need at least 3 players to count as a viable division. Otherwise, players will need to choose a separate division to compete in if that quota is not met.

Division Options are as follows:

Beginner Division: Those who have only RECENTLY started disc golfing and are still learning basic fundamentals.

Lower Division: Those who would consider themselves Novice players.

Middle Division: Those who would consider themselves Recreational players.

Upper Division: Those who would consider themselves Intermediate to Advanced players.

Female Division: For women who wish to compete separately from other divisions.

Open Divison: Those who would consider themselves able to compete with players at any level.

If you are unsure about what division you fall under, please use PDGA divisional guidelines as a tool to make sure you choose the proper division to help maintain a fair playing field. Here is a link that can help guide you:

https://www.pdga.com/pdga-documents/tour-documents/divisions-ratings-and-points-factors

You can also contact me if you are unsure what division is proper for you to compete in.

Payouts will be given to the top 3 finishers in each division after the tournament is fully concluded (2, 18 hole rounds, and after subsequent tie breakers are decided, if nessecary).

If an Ace is not hit during the rounds of the tournament, or subsequent playoffs, an ace race will occur from 200ft until someone hits an ace. (Players will line up and take turns throwing 1 shot each turn then proceed to the back of the line, until one is hit, ensuring that someone will win the ACE Pot)

A Putting Competition will take place shortly after tournament play is concluded and regular payouts are awarded.

This putting competition will cost $10 ($5 for the Putting Prize Pool, $5 for Donation Pool) per entry to participate and players can enter an unlimited amount times, costing an additional $10 each time you choose to enter.

This putting competition will be a points based competition and you will be putting from multiple stations from varying distances worth specific amounts of points (each player will get 20 putts per entry, 5 putts from each station). The Top 2 putters who accumulate the most points in a single attempt will recieve putting prize pool payouts.

If you are playing in a different tournament the day of this event, there is no need to worry or feel conflicted! If you would like to still be apart of this cause and want to show your support, I will be setting up a Raise Money post via my Facebook @StoneyDg

Feel free to donate any amount that you can, it will all help the cause and be greatly appreciated.

If you have any further questions feel free to comment via this events page on discgolfscene.com when it becomes available and or contact me directly via Facebook messenger @StoneyDg

I hope together we can make an impactful difference and help maintain and improve a very special local course.

Hope to see you all there!
