This is a non-sanctioned event. The MPO and FPO division winners will earn a free entry into the MVP Glitch World Championships on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, at Maple Hill Disc Golf Course in Leicester, Massachusetts.
This event serves as a fundraiser for the Allegany County Disc Golf Club, which oversees daily maintenance and upkeep of Hoffman Park DGC — the first and only public disc golf course in Allegany County, Maryland.
Tee times
- We are offering tee times starting at 6 a.m. in order to try (a) meet the needs of competitors and (b) reach the minimum 16 players required to stage the event.
- Please call/text 301-338-4533 after registration to secure your tee time if it's not on the list.
Registration
- $40 per player
- $36 per ACDGC member (ask the TD about membership if you're not sure)
- Players who register as a club member, but are not one, should be ready to pay the difference on event day (cash only).
- On event day, only MPO or FPO divisions will be available. This means those who register as ACDGDC club members will choose which division when checking in with the uDisc app.
- Players will pick their tee times during the registration process.
- As this event is not PDGA-sanctioned, amateur players will retain their amateur status with the PDGA.
- This is the first time the ACDGC is hosting an event like this.
- Registration and completion of the round earns each competitor lifetime membership into the Allegany County Disc Golf Club (and enjoy future discounts).+
- This event reserves the right to reject any entry, for any reason.

Ace Pot
- Optional ace pot. Players can opt into the ace pot by paying an additional $5 cash on event day, before the start of their round.
- Payout is 100 percent. If two or more people throw an ace, those players will receive equal shares. If Player A throws two aces and Player B throws one ace, Player A will receive two equal shares and Player B gets one share.
Location
- Hoffman Park DGC is a nine-hole "pitch and putt" course with the longest hole at 223 feet, the shortest at 125 feet, and the average at 161.6 feet. Be sure to check info on Disc Golf Course Review.
Practice rounds
- The course will be open to the public, and for casual play, the entire event day.
- Registered players are welcome to come before their scheduled tee time to play as many holes as they'd like.
- Registered players completing their tournament round have priority.
- Consult with TD on site with questions/concerns.
Rules
- For the MVP Glitch World Championship Qualifer at Hoffman Park DGC in Frostburg, Maryland, players will be allowed to use only three molds: MVP Glitch, Axiom Pitch, and/or Streamline Parachute.
- Must have at least two players per card.
- Players will be allowed to use their player's pack discs (Glitch and Pitch), their personal/previously owned Glitch/Pitch/Parachute, or both.
- PDGA rules apply.
- Though a non-sanctioned tournament, all participants are expected to abide by the spirit of all PDGA rules in helping to provide a welcoming, nurturing, and educational competitive environment.
- Experienced players are to be supportive of newer players while maintaining the integrity of the competitive format.
Format
- One round of 18 holes (two loops of the nine-hole course)
- Single round flex start.
- Must have at least two players per card.
- First card(s) begin(s) at 10 a.m., and the last card(s) begin(s) at 2 p.m.
In the event of a tie
- No ties for first place will be permitted.
- At the end of a player's round, if a player is in the top three of either the MPO Division or FPO Division, that player will have an extra CTP to help break any possible future ties (with no other "prize" or "award" attached to this particular CTP effort).
Scoring
- Use the uDisc app (free version is fine)
- Every player must create a free uDisc account
- At least one person on each card must keep score using the free version of uDisc.
- Each player must ensure his/her visible name is true and correct first and last name.
- Minimum two players per card.
- Open uDisc
- Under the events tab, choose "ACDGC 2024 - MVP Glitch WC Qualifier"
- Each player will "check in"
- Each player will choose MPO or FPO
- One player on each card will create the scorecard.
- Scores must be recorded while play is in progress (each score must be inputted prior to the start of the next hole).
Player's Pack
- MVP Plasma Soft Glitch AND
- Axiom Plasma Soft Pitch
- Separately, there could be a limited number of Streamline Parachute discs available for purchase on event day.
Awards
- No cash prizes/awards - merch bucks and/or discs.
- MPO/FPO division winners (three deep per division)
- Top ACDGC members will be recognized with a disc and/or merch bucks
- Multiple CTPs will be in place (at no extra cost).

Refund policy
Allegany County Disc Golf Club is responsible for all refunds/cancellations. No refunds will be issued on or after June 13, 2024, as the event's order to MVP will be placed. The ACDGC will allow transfers (facilitated by original player) at no additional cost.
