About this tournament

Bronte & the Beast Flex Start

Date: Sunday May 22nd, 2022

Time: Between 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Cost: $25

The 2022 season kicks-off at Bronte Creek Provincial Park a journey down, across, and back along it's beautiful creek valley disc golf course. The event is a one-round PDGA sanctioned C-tier tournament with cash payout for pros and merch-out for amateurs finishing in the top 40% of their division.

Players may preregister online to secure a spot/tee-time or show up day-of to register. As this is a flex start, players are able to tee-off anytime between 9 AM and 3:00 PM (in 10 minute increments) with a minimum of 3 players on the card and maximum of 4. You may either request your card-mates or simply show up and be placed on the next available card going out. Certified officials will be available to chaperone cards smaller than 3 players if the need arises.

Standings and prize amounts will be calculated at the end of the day and can be collected at 3:00 PM or once the last card with players from your corresponding division returns (last tee-off is 3:00 PM). In the event you're unable to stay or would like to save up for something, your credit will be issued online and you may use it to purchase discs and accessories on the Ontario Disc Store ( https://www.ontariodiscstore.ca ). Discs and accessories will be available for purchase and merch-out at flex tour events.

Not a PDGA member yet? Don't worry, you can either choose to pay a temporary fee for the day or enter in our non-PDGA side event for beginners! Remember, junior disc golfers NEVER have to pay PDGA temp fees for C-tier events, so you're in luck!

Having trouble picking a division? Here's a quick breakdown to help:

MA3/FA3: Play here if this is your first event or you're not at all comfortable yet in a competitive setting.

MA2/FA2: Play here if you can throw the disc with some degree of accuracy for at least 200 feet or more. Players in this division will often hit 5-7 putts out of 10 from 20 feet.

MA40/FA40/MA50/FA50 etc.: Play here is you fit into either the MA2/FA2/MA1/FA1 division characteristics but would prefer to play with other folks who are in your age bracket (either 40+ or 50+).

MA1/FA1: Play here is you've had some experience with competition and feel confident in your accuracy, distance and putting, but aren't necessarily ready to play pro yet.

MPO/FPO: Play here if you are a pro. This guide is likely redundant if this pertains to you, but here's a high-five anyways for making it to the top.

Financial Breakdown (per player):
$2 to BCDGC (fundraiser)
$2 per player PDGA fee
$1 per player sanctioning fee
$20 per player towards merch out (cash payout for pros)

Layouts:
MPO/FPO/MP50/MP60/MA1/FA1 - Long Tees to Yellow Baskets
All other divisions- Short Tees to Yellow Baskets
