Players,
Laurelain Classic 7 is 2 rounds of 20 holes PDGA C-Tier event at Laurelain Park DGC in Reading, PA Saturday 5/31/2025.
Players must sign in between 8:30am and 9:29am. Sign in is at the pavilion by hole 1&3. Starting Holes are at
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/88103
Check again in the morning your starting hole to confirm nothing has changed.
When you sign in, we will have tables set up with amateur player’s pack items. If you signed up for a players pack you will get two items. An $8 item and an $10 item. We will have lots of discs and other items to select from. First come best choices.
Each card must have everybody keeping score. One person must keep score via the PDGA website and the others any other way you want. We have paper scorecards.
We have set up layouts on the PDGA site. PDGA.comscores. Code will be provided at players meeting.
It will rain inches tonight so the ground will be extremely wet. It would be a good idea to bring extra socks and boots to switch into for round 2.
Hand sanitizer is available for your use before you touch any merchandise in the store.
Keep an eye on where you land. You only get 3 minutes to search for your disc before it is officially lost.
Two-meter rule is not in effect
Bring plenty of water; and this may be a good time for this year to wear sunscreen & bug spray.
Projected payouts can be found at
https://www.pdga.com/apps/tournament/manager/payouts_projected?TournID=88103
The exact numbers will change but this will give you an idea of what to expect; if people drop from your division, then the payout will be less. Top ~40% of each amateur division will receive a store voucher; professional divisions will be paid via CASH.
The B.S. Bochantin Upshot store will be open all day. We accept Venmo or Cash.
For those swapping their unwanted plastic, give us your discs before your round starts. We will value them as you play, and you will receive a scrip card for the value to use when you finish the round. We are not accepting any swaps after you start round 1. All HoD discs will be valued at $1.
For any first-place tie breaker playoffs will start on Hole 1 shortest tees to shortest basket available.
For Ace Pot, if someone hits an ace then they get the $160 sent to them via paypal. If multiple people hit an ace, then they split the pot.
We may have cards of three players. If a player is not present then they get par plus four. Additionally, you can’t start with only two players so you must wait for the group behind you to catch up with you and play as a much larger group.
The standard course rules (OB/mando/etc) are all in play; see the scoring PDGA site for all those notes. Additionally, we may be flagging the OB lines for the stream differently because of flooding. Lastly for any lie near the actual waters edge you get a relief of five feet instead of the standard one meter (~3.3 feet).
