About this tournament
Hey folks, its that time again, for the Lakeyard Launch. This is the fifth annual Launch, to be held in downtown DeFuniak Springs, at Chipley Park. The course is set up in the historic district and around the beautiful lake, located next to downtown DeFuniak Springs.
This year the course has been set up on September 10th, and will stay up until Sunday October 9th. So please come and enjoy and partake in all that the City has to offer.
The event this year will be a two round (for $25), flex start, non sanctioned event. The tournament will start at 0730, and last round will go out at 1430. Awards will be held at 1700, unless all players are in and down with their rounds. Prize will be awarded to first place in each division. IF YOU would like to play a third or more rounds, the cost will be an extra $10.
On the day of the tournament, if only one person is signed up for the division, and no one else has entered, we will move that person to another division (generally up one division). Unless that person wants to play in another different division.
The players pack will be Funky Bucks that can be used to purchase items at the DeFunk Disco table.
While, your loved one is playing the tournament, families can venture into the various areas that surround the area. They can take the historic walk around the lake and learn of the rich history that is located in the City. Also, the Farmer's Market will be up and running in the morning in downtown DeFuniak Springs. Visit the historic library, and view the antique weapons hanging on the wall. Visit the many shops and eateries located down town.
