About this tournament
Welcome to Camp! The Lakeview Hike n Huck is a beginner friendly, best shot doubles tournament seeking to raise money to help Camp continue to make life-changing impacts on our campers and guests. So find a partner and come enjoy a day at Camp!
The Hike n Huck will play Camp Lakeview's permanent 9-hole course and 9 temporary, tournament only, holes. Players will play a total of 18 holes.
We will have some discs available to borrow if needed. Please indicate this during your registration.
The winners of the Hike n Huck tournament will win a special disc dyed by Brandon.
Players register as single players for the Hike n Huck. As you register, you will have the opportunity to name your partner who will play with you. NOTE: Both partners need to register. One registration is good for one player.
If you do not have a partner, but desire one, let us know that as well and we will find a partner for you.
If you do not have a partner, and want to play alone, you may tell us that as well and play as a single player instead of the best shot doubles format.
DOOR PRIZES
Any player who registers for the tournament will be entered into a drawing for some awesome door prizes!
TEE TIMES
The Hike n Huck will be played in 2 shotgun start rounds. Players will have the option of starting their round at either 1:00pm or 3:00pm. Each round will be capped at 36 players, with an overall cap of 72 for the event.
ACE POOL
You may choose to opt into the Ace Pool for $5. Half of every Ace Pool entry goes toward providing awesome camp experiences, and the rest goes into the Ace Pool. If any player hits an ace (hole-in-one) during tournament play, they will win the other half of the money! If more than one player records an ace, the winnings will be split. If no player records an ace, there will be a CTP to determine a winner.
SKILLS CONTEST
Come and join us for our Skills Contest! Your $10 entry gets you 5 chances to win! The Skills Contest is comprised of 4 events:
1) Long Drive – How far can you huck it? The longest drive that lands within the boundaries wins! Each player is given 3 attempts.
2) CTP – We will set up a temporary hole that is about 200 feet long. Closest to the pin wins!
3) Precision Challenge – Show off your versatility and consistency! Throw 4 shots (backhand, forehand, tomahawk, and thumber) toward the pin. We will measure your cumulative distance from the pin, and the smallest distance wins!
4) Putting Contest – Take 15 putts from varying lengths. Whoever sinks the most putts wins! Players may use our 15 Dynamic Discs Judge putters OR use up to 2 of their own putters. The tiebreaker goes to whoever made their putts faster.
The winner of each game will receive a small prize. You’ll also earn points by being a top 5 finisher in any of the four games. The player with the most points across the four games is the overall winner of the Skills Contest and will receive a Mission Rig Backpack! Any player who enters the Skills Contest is entered into a drawing for a prize as well.
NOTE: Players who want to play the Skills Contest need to do so opposite their time on the course. So, if a player signs up for the 1:00 tee time, they will compete in the Skills Contest starting at 3:00. If a player signs up for the 3:00 tee time, they will compete in the Skills Contest starting at 1:00. Make sure to plan accordingly!
